Overall, the move was wonderful! The movers were kind, efficient, and careful with our things. Reaching the company before the move to confirm details was impossible. I did not get a return call and often received a “this number is not accepting calls” message. It also seems like the movers did not receive the correct information I left in the notes about the elevator and needing a handcart/dolly. They DID show up and completed the move without issue, though a couple of the movers were running late (they did text to let me know). The rating is based on the final result (and not the process getting to moving day—which was a bit stressful). Overall, great job!

They communicated before arriving. - a plus
They appeared inexperienced in the CLUMSY way they carried things down the stairs- a minus
It took them 20 minutes to bring the first item down - big minus
After waiting an extremely long time after the first item came I went back inside and found the mattress midway down the stairs and no one in sight. I began to move it after making a LOUD “ hail no!” I got it down a flight and one of the guys came to finish it - BIG MINUS
At the end of the two hours I went back upstairs( I had been packing the truck myself because clearly they were not efficient)to find a that NONE of the ( shrink wrapped bundles) books had been touched yet multiple lightweight(sled, or lamp, or pillows) were brought down - BEYOND DISAPPOINTED-ULTIMATE MINUS.
I had even written a priority list of the items and had it taped to the wall when you walk in the door. That was not paid any attention to.
I don’t know if it was intentional to have items unpacked at the end of the two hours so they could charge for more time or the guys were clueless but I was DONE with them after two hours and my daughter and I lugged the books down ourselves after she got home from work
Maybe if you have one person in the apartment and another at the truck you could manage more efficiently but we did not.
This pair of guys were lacking in my opinion. They were better than doing without hired loaders but barely.
You can't tell experienced movers how to move furniture in a way they deem to be unsafe on the stairs.
They spent the 1st 10 mins moving items from the congested apartment into the hallway so there would be a clear path for the larger items that should've gone in the truck 1st...but you know better so what they did was BS to you. Moving trucks are packed systematically, we understand prioritized items but they can't necessarily be brought to the truck in exactly the order you wrote them based on our knowledge of how to load etc. We don't waste time on jobs, throughout our reviews there are references to our efficiency & care. We have been ranked in the top 5 in NYC for a decade & are ranked 40th in the nation. Your preconceptions and lack of respect were overlooked by our crew and they maintained professionalism throughout. Someone didn't know what they were doing, that someone was you.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Your move date is set! Contact for details and any necessary instructions
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We always show up! On time arrival within the first 20 minutes of the one hour window, with an experienced, professional and courteous crew.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please have items packed and ready to go (large boxes not too heavy please), furniture blankets to protect your stuff, appropriate size truck for the move. Then wooosah! we got you, you're things are in capable hands.
What types of moves have you handled?
Local, Long distance, Office, Commercial, Specialty moves (larger & fragile and very expensive medical equipment).
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
No gym membership needed, we get paid to exercise. Our worksite is different everyday & we interact with new people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Two weeks of moving technique (lifting, turning, angles), teamwork, pacing, basic disassembly/reassembly and materials handling as well as customer service is our basic training. Then our most experienced movers ( Courtney, Eric, Yusef, Azar, Kirk) have advanced training for loading moving vans.
