We are highly trained professional movers with many years experience, we only hire movers with a minimum of 5 years experience. Ogre Man Movers was EXCELLENT. They're customer service is second to none. Everytime I spoke with Dave, he was very polite and extremely accommodating. We had several delays and changes to our move due to covid-19 related issues and he happily made the changes without hesitation and without change fees. My wife and I now refer to Ogre Man Movers as the Chick-fil-a of moving companies. This is quite the compliment if you know anything about Chick-fil-a's customer service and treatment of their customers.
As for the move itself, the guys were polite, professional, and more than capable. These were some big dudes! We couldn't be more happy with our choice to go with Ogre Man Movers.
And yes, this is a real review. I almost never leave reviews, but these guys deserve it.

What awesome service! K'awan (I'm so sorry if I spelled your name wrong) and Carlos were champs! Moving in July in Texas is horrible (but at least it's not August) and they knocked it out, in masks even! They helped move my mom from her one bedroom apartment in with me and my husband. This move included loading downstairs and then unloading upstairs. My mom has a lot of heavy antique pieces, books and a washer/dryer. They took extra care with everything. They even moved a six footlong dresser my mom didn't bother to unload (note: if you're moving, please empty all your drawers, don't be an a**). We scheduled them for 4 hours for a one bedroom apartment and a drive of about 15 minutes to the second location. Other then that 15 minute drive, they never stopped working. The price was very fair. I mean come on, how much would you want to be paid to carry heavy a** sh*t up and down stairs for 4 hours? I would highly recommend this business.
Now. Some notes for people who have never hired movers or for people who have ridiculous expectations or deep pockets for special treatment.
-you are hiring movers, thats all. They are not going to pack up stuff for you. You have to provide them the materials to keep your furniture safe. I highly recommend packing blanket from uhaul (we used 2 dozen), tape and plastic wrap (also uhaul or ace restaurant supply for big rolls). Plastic wrap is your best friend for keeping drawers closed and protecting corners of tables and such.
-Fragile things such as mirrors, picture frames, TVs, and computers should be placed in your personal vehicle unless properly boxed. They can't just throw your 65' TV in the truck with your couch and kitchen table.
-You can't move a three bedroom house in 2 hours. We did 4 hours for a move from a one bedroom apartment to a one bedroom mother in law suite with stairs both ways. When your hours are up, they may have to move on to another move. They have a schedule just like all of us. The more stairs, the more furniture, the longer it will take. They don't cut corners when packing up the truck so make time for them to do their job right.
-You have to communicate what and where you want items. If you have a table with a trick leg, or a bedframe that will fall apart if you pick it up from a particular angle, you have to let them know. They don't know your furniture or your house, you can't check out and finish packing.
-They are people, be nice. We made sure to have water, lunch and a tip. The reason you're paying for this service is because it's a hard job that you don't want to do. You have to be kind babies!

Quan and Justin were incredibly helpful and very friendly! They stayed within the time frame and even were able to get it done a little early! I had some freakin ridiculously difficult pieces of furniture to move (im so sorry) and they did it *almost effortlessly! Super strong, wonderful attitudes, and extremely helpful. 11/10 would hire again. Thank you so so much! Truly could not have done this without their help!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
We provide a follow up call after booking, we go over the job details with you, answer any questions you may have in preparation for your move and offer any additional advice on packing items and what's needed for a safe and speedy move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We provide a phone call when en route to your move and as soon as we get to your location we do a walk thru to see what's being moved. We then start to wrap and protect items if we are loading, and get them into your truck or Storage container as safely and timely as possible. If its an unload, we do a walk thru to see the lay out of your home and ask where you want your belongings and then unload and unwrap your items safely and speedy. In both cases feel free to ask us to re arrange any of your items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To be best prepared to save time and money, everything should be packed and wrapped and ready for your move. However, we understand moving is quite overwhelming and can be a lot to deal with, in which case, were happy to come in and pack your entire household up, bring supplies such as boxes, tape, blankets, everything needed for a successful move. Then just sit back, put your feet up and let us take care of everything from start to finish.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have been in this industry for over 15 years and have seen and done it all. We do everything from nationwide cross country moves, to office moves, residential home moves, white glove services for art and sculptures, to grand and upright pianos, vehicle and motorcycle deliveries, as well as animal delivery and everything single thing in between. There is not a single thing we haven't encountered and are prepared for everything we come across.

What training do you provide your crew members?
What makes us special is that we only hire experienced movers with a minimum of 5 years moving experience, the average is 7 to 10 years. What that means, is that very little training if any is needed, but provided when necessary to meet our standards for quality. Experience and knowledge is shared between movers on every job so our team continues to get stronger and more knowledgeable with every job.
