I was making a cross country move and they were told that. I had packed everything securely. I had dozens of blankets waiting on the truck to protect my furniture. Things were packed without protection and not wrapped. Heavy boxes on top of fragile. I have thousands of dollars in damages. A statute broke in half, lamps broke. Shades tore up, gouges, scratches and wood shredded on every exposed piece of wood. Holes in the furniture upholstery. Bike gears tore up. Broken leg in night stand, broken table leg. I have thousands of dollars in damages. In addition they were suppose to take apart a full wall book case. After 45 min they said it was glued together and wasn't going to get moved. I found all the seams to take it apart! It was not glued!! Just needed to follow the screws to get the sections apart. I had to call someone else in to help me get the bookcase apart so I wasn't able to monitor the packing of the truck. One of the movers showed up over weight with some foot problem and could hardly walk on his feet. I ended up having to carry furniture out to get it loaded because he was so slow and almost of no value! They movers promised they we're going to have everything protected. There were no blankets on the wood bookcase. Shelves, wood dining table, wood dining chairs. The bookcase shelves were found strewn all over the bottom of the truck with nothing to protect them! One night stand was turned upside down and it goes on and on! I can't wait to see how this is going to get settled!
