Leroy and Bobby did a great job and handled our furniture carefully and respectfully, even at the end of a long day of work! They arrived late, due in part to a confusion over our address, but worked steadily and efficiently after they arrived. We recommend them as movers.

Holland Real Estate was very helpful when it came to scheduling our move. Our storage container was delayed a day and he was very friendly and helpful in working with us to get our belongings moved in as soon as it arrived.

The communication was very poor. Not only did I have to contact them to arrange all the details (vs. them reaching out to me), the owner is very difficult to hear/understand (on the phone and in person).
The day before the job (when I hadn't heard from them and I had to call), I was told that they were overbooked and hoping if I could move my job to later in the afternoon or the following day (which was not possible). I was then told that they would be there at 11am and he would call me by 9am to confirm. By 10am and no call, I called him. He kept pushing back the time and then they finally arrived 4 hours late. Because they were so late, we had to cancel and reschedule the pick-up of our PODS - which meant having the PODS sit out in the hot sun for FIVE EXTRA DAYS.
When they arrived, I was told that one or more of the workers had not had a background check and I had to call HireAHelper to waive the background check. Up against a wall as we needed to get things moved, I had to waive - no other choice.
We were promised 4 men. Only one was capable (and he was awesome). The owner hardly did anything (maybe 5% of the move) and did not supervise either as later we found out that a whole room's worth of belongings didn't make it into the PODS. The other two were okay, but clearly were not engaged or experienced as furniture left the house unwrapped and many things I saw were dropped on the sidewalk or street. Because we did not have 4 able-bodied helpers, we had to go 3.5 hours over (which meant more money).
We finally let them go at 9:15pm and my husband had to spent another 3 hours that evening and 2 hours the next morning, unloading and repacking the PODS to make sure all of our belongings got moved - if he had not done this, we would have had to leave a lot of furniture behind.
In the end, we chose Holland Real Estate Services because of their great reviews online. However, our experience with them probably happened because they got overbooked, didn't want to turn down any jobs, etc. so they gave priority to those moves that were booked directly with them and left the inexperienced people for us.
We will keep using HireAHelper in the future as their specific service is fantastic. Very responsive and helpful.

We had some logistical challenges with our move and the team at Holland was WONDERFUL in accommodating us! They were prompt, fast, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend them if you have a move in the Houston, TX area.

I think they did an ok job overall, but when I asked them to do things in a specific way because of the quality of the items to be moved, I was ignored and the items did not get the attention to detail they deserved. If moving just whatever items, they are great. For items if value or fine artwork, no. I would recommend them for anything else. I am in the business of moving and delivering fine works of art and high end furniture. So I will not be using them again. I am however grateful for the help that they offered when I was in a bind and needed muscle. Attention to detail, following instruction, and being precise are necessary, for me to give a recommendation and they did not fill that requirement.

The crew was hard working and performed with only a little shifting of the furniture at the delivery point. The young man who packed the truck did well. He will get better as he gets older. Only one broken table which I will repair.
