They team initially tried to reschedule my delivery to make it more convenient for them but I pushed back and they accommodated the previously agreed upon time.

The drivers were polite and efficient. Unfortunately one item was damaged during offloading from my POD. Initially they didn’t acknowledge it was damaged until my subsequent inspection. After inspection, I asserted this was not how it was loaded because I had loaded it myself and shipped from the east coast to the west coast. Long story short, they did NOT want to assume responsibility for the damage. That was fine, after sending in a request for remuneration for the damage, they sided internally with their team which I believe is less than truthful to both myself and their company. The most they would provide were “sorry to have upset you” which is not acknowledgement of the scenario or consolatory. Lastly, this is one of the pieces itemized in the insurance portion of the transaction. What was the point of the insurance (whopping $.60 a lbs no less)?

Once this process is complete, I’m leaving factually based truthful reviews anywhere I can so that other people can avoid this company.

As mentioned in the previous emails we have shared with you after taking a look at the picture you shared with us, it was clear that this damage was done due to the density and friction caused inside your POD during transit. Therefore, we can’t be responsible for something that was not caused by the movers and was caused during transit. Also, if you don’t recall the movers did let you know right away when they found out your console was broken and they did not try to fix it after that because they did not want to make the damage any worse. So once again, we are very sorry if you were not happy with the service you were provided but the movers got there on time, they completed your move and like you mentioned they were always respectful towards you. You’re are free to leave a review but like previously said we can not be responsible for something that was done during transit.

The appointment was for arriving between 11 am to 12 noon. They actually came at 2:45 pm. We called and complained to Hireahelper representative. We were promised a discount for tardiness. That was never issued.

Once arrived, however, the workers were very efficient in moving the furniture.

Overall I am not very happy with hireahelper and Rico Moving services and I am still waiting for the discount.

Unfortunately sometimes the previous customers have delays with moving trucks or storage containers and sometimes we have trouble with traffic as you may know L.A. is a very busy city. Therefore little things like that can put us behind schedule but we always try to get to the next customer as soon as possible. If you spoke with HireAHelper and they told you they would give you a discount well you would need to speak directly to them and request for it again. They were purposely slow. I heard more crickets than guys working. Had to carry a lot of boxes myself so they could finish on time. Then Martha at the office tried to invoice me over the phone the next day. She called all weekend. Over and over. Would not acknowledge that I had already paid the bill in full. HireAHelper fixed the attempts Rigos made to overcharge me. I’ll use HireAHelper again, just not Rigos.

We did not try to be a bother to you but our policy is to collect any payment right after our movers finish performing their job. I would also like to mention that our intention was to never overcharge you as you may think we did. As you can see in your receipt from HireAHelper you only paid for 2 movers and 2.5 hours with them and we sent you an invoice for the 3rd mover that you approved to be sent over to you. Once again we are sorry if there was any confusion caused during your payment or if we did not meet your expectations.

We are a professional moving company where our clients always come first. Our customers can expect an amazing job outcome by our movers because we are trained and have the proper materials needed for the job.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Our customers can expect a well prepared crew with all the materials needed for their move. They can also expect to be stress free during their move because of how reliable our movers are.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Customers should prepare for the day of the move depending on what services they get/want. We reccomend that clients remove clothing from drawers, wardrobes, etc, to make the items less heavy for our movers. Always label your boxes. We also recommend to speak with our project manager about materials needed for the job to have them ready for the day of the move. Lastly, feel free to ask questions with our project manager about any concerns to be informed on what to do the day of the move.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

Our favorite part of being a mover is seeing the relief on our clients face after getting the job done. We love being able to make our clients move stress free as much as possible.

What training do you provide your crew members?

We provide all of our employees with a one month training program at our head quarters to help them gain experience by teaching them good communication skills, how to pack fragile items into boxes, move heavy items using the proper equipment, stack the trucks or containers using every inch of space, etc.

We charge an extra 20% for same day requests.

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.

Refunding Unused Time

We do not refund for any unused time.

Extra Hours

We can always stay at least 2 hours over the prebooked time.

Face coverings and gloves:
The health of our customers and employees is our top priority We provide Face Mask, Gloves, Hand Sanitizer and any other Safety equipment on every job., (always included, no fee)
Hand tools for assembly:
We provide basic Heavy Duty Tools, (always included, no fee)
Hand truck:
We provide a Heavy Duty Hand Truck, (always included, no fee)
Plastic wrap:
We provide plastic wrap for 2-3 furniture items, any additional plastic wrap used will be a $35.21 dollar charge., ($35.21/ea.)
Rope:
We always provide straps to load/unload (we will need them back or a fee will be applied), If is Load only we recommend you to ask about our packing materials prices., ($7.04/ea.)
