MD Expert Movers were terrific. They came on time, and they did a great job of wrapping and loading my things. In fact, although I moved 2,700 miles, not one thing was damaged or broken - which is amazing. The only thing that wasn't perfect was hire-a-helper's estimate of how long the job would take. For my 700 sq ft one-bedroom, they estimates two hours to load, but in fact, it took three.

The two man team arrived on time, worked very hard and got as much into my POD as possible. I told them at the very beginning that if there was not enough room for everything I would sell what was left and to ask questions if things needed to be prioritized. Toward the end I found out that some couch cushions had been packed early in the process but there was no room for the couch or remaining cushions. This makes it impossible to use the couch at our new destination or to sell at our estate sale. Most of my good pieces that I wanted to keep were expertly warped ready to be loaded but never got into the POD. I ended up having to order another POD to make things right. I don’t think I will use this service again.

These guys were awesome - very friendly and fast! They called on their way to let me know what time they would arrive, and they did not waste time getting started. They emptied my moving container very quickly and were careful with all my furniture. Donald and Kevin are the best! Highly recommend.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
What types of moves have you handled?
We specialize in loading/unloading PODS, PackRat, ABF trailers/containers, and Door-to-Door services. MD Expert Movers isn't limited to household goods though. Is your company moving to a new building? Switching floors in your current space? Do you need someone to finally get that old copier down to the basement? Hauling junk? We can help!
