This was definitely my best experience hiring movers. They were on time and came prepared with dollies and shrink wrap. They also had at least 1 moving blanket but I had enough without it. They worked hard and efficiently. I’d booked 2 movers for 2 hrs and they needed a 3rd hr but I think that was totally reasonable, they were quite fast. I’d previously had experiences with movers who seemed incentivized to take as long as possible, but that’s didn’t be seen to be the case at all with them - I know they had at least 2 more jobs to get to after me. They were careful with my stuff. I’d absolutely hire them again. Great crew!

Pierre and Elvis were awesome! They arrived a couple of minutes late, but it was no problem; parking is tough in this neighborhood. They worked hard all day and did an AMAZING job loading two containers. (I hope the containers aren’t over the weight limit, or I’m screwed!) They were polite, skillful, smart, strong, trustworthy: perfect gentlemen in every way. They obviously know their business and inspired my confidence immediately and all day. I provided Gatorade, lunch, and good tips in gratitude. Would definitely recommend them to others. Thank you so much!

The arrived on time and worked very efficiently, getting done within the timeframe I had allotted. I would definitely use them again.
*Update. I would not use them again. I bought tv boxes that were not used. Instead they wrapped my tvs in blankets that I had purchased for my furniture. Upon opening the doors after unloading I saw my things had been poorly packed in the pod. I hired them because they were supposed to know what they were doing and take the care to appropriately pack my things. I have moved my furniture multiple times and never had the damage I experienced on this move. My things arrived damaged. Some to the point of needing to be replaced and as of the update-10/15/2018 I am still trying to resolved the claim. Go traditional. It's a lot less hassle and at least you don't have the blame game being played when you need to file a claim. The insurance company has been stringing me along and I feel it's totally not worth it now. Better to pay the extra money to hire a trucking company to load and transport your things.

I used them twice to move out of my old apartment and into my new one and they were amazing both times. They even managed to get my couch into my new apartment that had narrow stairways from my balcony. I will definitely use them again.

They did an amazingly good job. They were patient with us, as we were still trying to decide where certain pieces were going to go while they were carrying furniture into the house. A couple of times we asked them to move the same piece 2 or 3 times, and they were glad to do so. They were polite and respectful of our furniture. They voluntarily shrink-wrapped several of the pieces in order to keep them protected.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
What types of moves have you handled?
We specialize in loading/unloading PODS, PackRat, ABF trailers/containers, and Door-to-Door services. MD Expert Movers isn't limited to household goods though.
