Wonderful operation. Containers very clean and strong. Delivery teams were very careful and placed the PODS exactly as I asked them. Phone calls and texts kept me informed as to when they would arrive to deliver or to pick up the pods. The reservation process was very easy with agents on the phone. Have used PODS in two states. VERY GOOD OPERATION
My experience with PODS started strong, but unfortunately I had some pretty unfortunate issues that jeopardized my move. Thank you very much to Chris, who delivered my first pod. He was great, answered all my questions, and quickly cleaned out my pod which had some dirt and leaves still at the bottom. He was excellent, and I was pretty excited for my POD experience after that. However... When dealing with the PODS staff for my first pod, I asked about how I could schedule a specific time window for my delivery and pickup, and was told I'd be able to select from two time windows. As we got closer to the move time, I was getting nervous that I wasn't seeing the option to schedule a time, so I called back and asked about the priority service which would ensure this--found out this hadn't been added. Luckily they were able to add it at that point, which prevented a disaster where my POD would have been picked up before it was ready. If it had ended there, I'd still have been pretty happy. I needed to add another pod, and they were thankfully able to get delivery ASAP. When I set up the delivery of the pod, I asked specifically for priority service and to set the delivery time for first thing in the AM. This was 100% needed as I would be turning in my keys and leaving the state for my move later that day. I was told that I'd have a specific 7-10AM delivery window. This is what allowed me to use PODS for my remaining items. This happened on a Saturday, with PODS delivery and me leaving on Monday. I did not seek other options as it seemed to be all in hand. Imagine my surprise and panic when I received my delivery window Sunday evening...set for Monday afternoon. PODS was closed and I could not contact them until Monday morning. When I got up to call as soon as they opened, they apologized for the agent making the mistake but otherwise could not change the delivery. I will say they were able to talk with the local PODS group and offered to have me take my belongings directly to the facility to load up my pod there. This did end up working out (again, TexasTopTier Movers are AMAZING) but I was pretty upset and stressed. I managed to get everything done with about 30 minutes to spare before I had to leave, but it was very close. And just to top it off...I had to call back again to ask about having my PODS delivered to the destination facility after receiving notification that my first pod, on pickup, did not have it's next service scheduled. I had talked with multiple agents about knowing where I wanted the PODS to go and having them delivered there after the pickup at my apartment. I guess I never said the exact words needed to get this scheduled? So while I thought it was all set (just going to be finalized or something after pickup), this was not the case. I got it arranged but it takes 4 days to get that delivery set...so despite having my first pod all picked up and ready to go, it was further delayed. Annoying when I had gone through the whole priority scheduling hassle to get the pod loaded and picked back up as quickly as I could to get it on the way. Now that I've been through this process I could probably avoid most of these issues, but I would have expected better guidance from the start from actual PODS employees. Also there is a clear issue somewhere with how the scheduling staff understands PODS delivery/pickup practices and offers.
The reason I give POD this review is only because I went over everything that was going to be placed inside this POD. I asked the seller 5x was all my belongs going to fit and he said yes. Once the POD arrived just knew that was false. But that’s to the movers we hired through POD, they were able to place everything in the POD.
PODS was absolutely amazing! So glad I chose them for the move. Customer service was there for me 24/7 if I had any concerns. They walked me through every step of the way from booking and billing to pick-up and drop off. I hope I never have to move again, but I would hire them again in a heartbeat if I needed to relocate.
We had used this company before and really liked our experience so we chose them for this move because of that. It was also convenient and fit our need as our move from one home to another had a lag of four months. Pick up and delivery were a breeze. Only caution is pad the quote they give you. Unexpected fees popped up that we weren’t anticipating. It was not helpful at a time of many expenses budgeted for our move but fortunately we were able to pay them. Other than that, the experience was a good one.
