A Statement on COVID-19 from HireAHelper
Effective July 1, 2021, Moving Service Providers listed on HireAHelper will regain full operational procedures, largely returning HireAHelper to pre-COVID terms of services for our customers.
With this change, HireAHelper and the Moving Service Providers listed on our site will consider not wearing a mask on a move as attestation to being vaccinated. We continue to very strongly encourage unvaccinated movers and their customers to continue to wear masks through the duration of their move, and will continue to ask Moving Service Providers to accomodate all customer requests for mask use.
While proof of vaccination is not required to move in general, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends being fully vaccinated (or obtaining a negative COVID-19 test) prior to traveling.
HireAHelper encourages anyone that is moving to continue to check and follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, as well as any state travel advisories.

UPDATED (April 30th, 2020): The US government has recently released state reopening guidelines. Your state government will be in charge of openings, closures, and shelter-in-place recommendations, which may continue to impact moving service availability.
As both CISA and various governmental bodies list "transportation and logistics" as an essential service, we will continue to offer and fulfill all manners of moving services on HireAHelper.com in tandem with our stated policy updates and safety measures.

A Statement on COVID-19 from HireAHelper
To our HireAHelper customers and family,
We wanted to take a moment to update you on our priorities, our safety precautions, and our new policy changes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please know that our top priority is the health and well-being of our customers, our Moving Service Providers, and our employees. We have taken into account the business recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and The World Health Organization (WHO), including remote work options and sick pay for our headquartered employees. We continue to monitor all CDC recommendations in real-time.
We understand that moving may still be necessary for people all across the country, even during these uncertain times. For this reason, it will remain operational to book movers on HireAHelper.com until further notice. (See our post on "Are Moving Companies Open? (Due to COVID)")
However, if you have a booked move that is set to occur within the next 14 days, and have the option to reschedule your move to a date further in the future, we encourage you to do so.
In addition, in order to maintain our safety standards, HireAHelper has implemented the following policy changes effective immediately and until further notice.
New Policies
HireAHelper will waive all cancellation fees that are COVID-19 related. This includes same-day cancellation. If for any reason a health concern is raised by either a customer or a Moving Service Provider, we will waive all cancellation fees or risk of "no-show" with prompt communication at (800) 995-5003.
Moving Service Providers are asked to use all CDC cleaning and disinfection recommendations frequently. Please provide as sanitary of conditions for our movers as possible.
Any Moving Service Provider with any suspected or reported exposure has been told to not offer services on our marketplace. In addition, if you or anyone residing within the locations being moved are suspected of infection, please do not use HireAHelper services.
We understand the inherent risk of COVID-19 during moving for both our customers and our Moving Service Providers, and therefore will continue to monitor all government recommendations as we receive them. As moving services exist at the crossroads between commercial product and necessary utility, we want to do our part to make sure people can get where they need to go as quickly and safely as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach us at helper-support@hireahelper.com.
