Two amazing people moved everything out of my upstairs apartment and packed the truck for us. They did an unbelievable job. I could not be happier with the service and the work they did. I would highly recommend them!

Decent crew! I was charged an extra hour that probably was avoidable. A couple of the crew spent a fair amount of time looking at their phones. Otherwise, I may have given 5 stars. All in all I was happy.

Appreciate your business but on HireAHelper you have to pay for the time you reserve as we book our days according to time reservations. You booked 3 hours eventhough the job didn't take 3 hours, that's what you reserved. Crews take pictures of the jobs progress for HireAHelpers records, it's mandatory, that's what the crew did on their phone. Thanks again for your business, Ogre Man Movers.

These guys are awesome! Showed up on time, high energy throughout and finished up a little ahead of time. We had a jammed POD door and I couldn’t get it unjammed after spending more than 2 hours myself. David showed up and wasted no time, went underneath the door into the POD and got it unstuck. Just an overall great crew. So much better than my other crew at the loading end

The first half of the move was great. They were very polite and worked hard throughout the morning packing the truck and planning how to fit things in.

We didn’t get a big enough truck which was on us for sure. However, their communication about what to prioritize getting into the truck wasn’t effective. We picked items to leave out and some of those made it in. Once the truck was full they got out of here quick. We paid for an extra half hour because the policy was to “not prorate” yet they didn’t spend that half hour helping us get all the extra things back inside they had brought out. Stuff was left all over the lawn. Including pieces of furniture they had taken apart and half moved into the truck. Just a lack of care for finishing the job well and I feel very much like I over paid.

Mover's response:
This is absolutely ridiculous, first off, as stated by yourself your truck was too small to fit a storage unit as well as a multi bedroom home. Additionally upon the day of booking our services we went over all the saftey supplies needed for furniture items and to secure items in the truck, we showed up to your job and you had 20 moving blankets for over 100 pieces of furniture and stated to just blanket important items. At which point we reiterated how unsafe that is and you would most certainly see damage to your items while going cross country with minimal protection on less than a quarter of the items. So we had you waive full liability as we previously explained would be the case when going over job details. Additonally your job took 3 hours and 50 minutes, which is 4 hours, we don't pro rate 10 minutes and also did a walk thru upon completion of your job and you never asked anyone on the job to move items back inside, it was the opposite, you said to leave it near the garage so it was easy for you guys to load into a trailer and whatever else you got to fit the remainder of the items. Some items that made it onto the truck were because of space that alloted for only those sized items otherwise their would be wasted space. It's literally comical that you started off by saying YOU got the wrong size truck and then throw a temper tantrum when you realize we aren't magicians and can't magically fit items into a space to small as well as when we can't stack furniture without protective materials knowing they will break otherwise. When a customer sets us up for failure, doesn't listen to the supplies needed from us or the safety supplies list needed sent by hireahelper, that you're then shocked when things don't fit properly or can't be protected and secured properly, is wild, there's only so much we can do when customers think they know better than us and hireahelper in regards to whats needed to ensure the saftey of your items. The level of entitlement people seem to have these days, when we go above and beyond to do EXACTLY what was asked (and photos were included by us of your load) is insane. There's a reason we have people sign liability waivers when they don't listen to us/hireahelper in regards to supplies that are mandatory to ensure a safe move, but to then throw a temper tantrum when items aren't safe due to lack of supplies that was mandatory to have for a safe move after a waiver of liability is signed because you think you know better than us is ludicrous. Thanks again for your business and good luck in life, you're going to need it.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We provide a follow up call after booking, we go over the job details with you, answer any questions you may have in preparation for your move and offer any additional advice on packing items and what's needed for a safe and speedy move.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

We provide a phone call when en route to your move and as soon as we get to your location we do a walk thru to see what's being moved. We then start to wrap and protect items if we are loading, and get them into your truck or Storage container as safely and timely as possible. If its an unload, we do a walk thru to see the lay out of your home and ask where you want your belongings and then unload and unwrap your items safely and speedy. In both cases feel free to ask us to re arrange any of your items.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

To be best prepared to save time and money, everything should be packed and wrapped and ready for your move. However, we understand moving is quite overwhelming and can be a lot to deal with, in which case, were happy to come in and pack your entire household up, bring supplies such as boxes, tape, blankets, everything needed for a successful move. Then just sit back, put your feet up and let us take care of everything from start to finish.

What types of moves have you handled?

We have been in this industry for over 15 years and have seen and done it all. We do everything from nationwide cross country moves, to office moves, residential home moves, white glove services for art and sculptures, to grand and upright pianos, vehicle and motorcycle deliveries, as well as animal delivery and everything single thing in between. There is not a single thing we haven't encountered and are prepared for everything we come across.

What training do you provide your crew members?

What makes us special is that we only hire experienced movers with a minimum of 5 years moving experience, the average is 7 to 10 years. What that means, is that very little training if any is needed, but provided when necessary to meet our standards for quality. Experience and knowledge is shared between movers on every job so our team continues to get stronger and more knowledgeable with every job. We look forward to turning your most stressful day into an enjoyable experience.
