I had a order to get 4 guys for 4 hours to load three containers… 6 guys showed up. That said, one smelled like pot and after our walkthrough everything was moving so fast it felt hectic like I couldn’t communicate well to the whole crew or a single person that would get everyone on the same page about not packing something that isn’t taped shut or other.
Later in the packing, I felt a lot more comfortable with the work they were doing. I could tell that 4 of the 6 were working hard and really non stop. One guy would bring a box out and then sprint back to the house to get more. Other guys were teaming up and saying “let’s go get the heaviest items.” This team truly saved me so much time and potential pain of moving everything.
My low point was that after filling two 16 ft containers top to bottom and tight, the crew seems to have been tired and ready to go. I say this because I had a snafu with the container company and had to get one more container so instead of having 4 I moved the things they loaded into an 8ft container into a larger one on a later date. The way they loaded the 8 ft container was very sloppy. I had a huge heavy speaker stacked on top of several things as the item on top, I had some glass from my shelves wrapped and some exposed, and I had a lamp that was just packed in there and I found a loose lightbulb on the ground of the container. This was unacceptable and I’m glad I discovered this and repacked it into a container in a safe way.
That said, I’m not 100% confident there isn’t some goofy packing in my first two 16 ft containers but I’ll figure that out when I get to my destination.
That said, I appreciated most of the crew and if I did it again, I’d have some more people at my house so someone could be managing the team on the inside of the house and someone outside inspecting how they load the containers.

We had too small of a truck for all our stuff. They packed the first truck really well.

We cannot even begin to express how impressed we were with Mike and Trey from Smart Move. They called to ask if they could come earlier than our scheduled time but we weren't ready for them so we agreed on a new time and they showed up on the dot! They took great care of our possessions and they packed our 16 ft rental truck masterfully. They hustled the entire time and never stopped moving. We would 1000% use smart move again and would even request Mike and Trey if we were ever moving in that area again. The price was extremely budget friendly and the most professional movers you could of asked for!
