Everything was going smoothly with my belongings being moved out of storage to my U-Haul until my drawers in my dresser were dropped. It was a team lift (2 people) item not a one person item to be moved. 2 of my drawers was noticeably damaged and a replacement of the drawers cannot be purchased because the furniture company no longer makes it. This moving company has not followed up with me regarding it. They told me that the movies would take photos of the damage and that I could also send my photos to them and that they would reach out to me. I had to contact the furniture store where I purchased my dresser to find out that Smart Move hadnt reached out to them yet. I feel like they frankly don't give two ****s about it and probably feel like it's my problem because nobody has tried to provide any compensation and a formal apology for it. When it happened I got a deer in headlights look with no empathy. No, I do not recommend them if you have nice furniture that you do not want ruined or furniture that you cannot afford to replace. No one's taking accountability for it. I'm frustrated because I thought I was buying services from a professional moving company.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is meeting new people everyday. Some of these relationships have lasted over 15 years!
