The Smart Moves team is excellent! This is the 2nd time I have used them and I will use them if I move again. The workers are knowledgeable and well trained. They are efficient and know how to get the job done! In addition, they are polite and take care with everything. The team showed up on time and was very friendly, but the good ends there.
1 - They were required to wear masks and they didnt. When prompted one person put a mask under their chin and that was it. If I wasnt under a tight timeline I would have sent them away.
2 - They didnt seem to have any experience moving since they didnt know how to pack my stuff in the truck. Every time they brought an item in the truck they spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to place it and often times all 3 of them stood around debating how to arrange something.
3 - They didnt come prepared. They didnt bring an appliance dolly or moving straps or anything to help them move my appliances into their truck. This meant they spent 25 minutes trying to put a refrigerator into the truck, almost dropping it several times along the way.
4 - They dropped my off-white couch on my grass, which resulted in some nice grass stains, that matched the dirty handprints they left on most of my other light-colored stuff since they did not wear gloves. Nothing like an afternoon of cleaning sweaty dirt stands off of your furniture for fun.
5 - Their packing issues lead to them not having enough space for some of the heavier objects I needed help with such as my grill, generator, etc.. They prioritized children's toys, which I could throw in my truck over stuff I actually needed help with.
6 - They left the heavy stuff in the wrong rooms. For example, they put a king-sized mattress and a queen-sized mattress in a room with a crib in it while I was busy helping with something else. I didnt notice until they left and had to move both to different floors in the house.
7 - Their customer service team called to discuss my issues but never responded back about the next steps around what they could do to solve for what took place that day.
Overall, look elsewhere or invest in your own appliance dolly at the very least.

The movers showed up on time, were very polite and friendly. They took precautions to protect the carpet and door jams while moving the furniture in. Very responsive to requests for rearranging things. All this and they were done an less than two hours. They even swept out the moving truck. Who does that?!

Avoid at all costs. Ignored fragile stickers, placed heavy furniture on top of plastic containers (punching wholes and destroying contents), removed couch pillows from plastic covers and used it for padding the list goes on. Even had to repack half of the container because the made an absolute mess. Lastly their guys stood around outside (using some very crude language), messed around with their phones and they then charged me an extra hour because they ran ower. Contact at company will also promise and not deliver. Use at own risk.

Thanks Heaven, Smart Move came to my rescue once again! I thought I had scheduled unloaders for my last pod, however, the morning that I was expecting them to arrive, I realized that I had not received any emails regarding the move in the last day or two as I had with previous moves. I called Billy at Smart Move and he jumped right on it. Indeed, an order had not been scheduled so Billy contacted Thomas and he called stating that fortunately, he had a team of unpackers in the area and had them come over to my home when they finished the move they were here for. So as far as I'm concerned, Billy and Thomas are my knights on white horses. I've used Smart Move for 2 loads and 2 unloads and I can't give them enough stars. I highly recommend them to anyone needing them.
