Jimmy Lee called as soon as the job was scheduled to confirm the time, date, and details. He explained what communications to expect prior to their arrival. On the day of our arrival with the truck to be unloaded, Jimmy checked in on our ETA and confirmed when he and his crew would arrive. Jimmy and Chris arrived on time and introduced themselves, and got right to work. Jimmy Lee and the helpers were very professional, respectful, and friendly. They arrived with everything they needed to get the job done and were very proficient. They listened to my direction of where to put everything and did so accordingly without having to be told again where things were to go. They were also very careful with everything. I would highly recommend these young men and Smart Moves, LLC to anyone needing such help. In fact I told someone later that evening about hireahelper.com and specifically Smart Moves, LLC and advised if they need moving services, that is who to get. I have no plans to move again, but if something comes up that I do, I will contact Smart Moves again!

These guys were great! I paid for two helpers but they added a third new guy free of charge. They worked efficiently to get the job done in the two hours that I booked them for, so that I would not get charged more. They packed my PODS container wonderfully and even left me some room for a few other items that I needed to add later on. Also, Angel (guy in charge) was very responsive to my text, even when they were on other jobs.
The only negatives were: first, that there was a miscommunication about the start time but it was understandable and they were timely for the rearranged time. Second, another miscommunication about the customer needing to provided plastic wrap for the furniture, but they went ahead and paid for it out of pocket themselves. If I was still going to be in NC, I would definitely consider these guys again!

In the last year I have hired moving services four times, and have had such disappointing experiences with most of them. When HireAHelp presented me with the movers that could accommodate my request, I took the time to carefully read the reviews of the vendors that were rated the highest, and Smart Move was #1, so that's who I selected. On "Move day" the team leader called to see if they could report earlier than scheduled, and I delightfully accepted. This team (4 guys) exceeded my expectations with how prepared they were for the job. According to the terms and conditions of the contract, I believe that they went above and beyond what was required of them. They were very professional, and they were nice and respectful, and they worked hard, orderly, and there was no damage to anything! I was under much stress with this move for several reasons, and it was just a blessing to have this team serving me. I could tell within 30 minutes (of them starting) that I had made a great decision with this company. The whole move took 7 hours and their level of distinguished service remained consistent for the entire move. They gave me peace of mind, and that is a huge value. I couldn't wait to tip them all. I would definitely use them again, especially if I knew that I could get the same 4 guys :-). Job well done!

They came right on time. They were professional, courteous, and expert. The filled the pod with more things than I thought could fit. They were smart about things. They worked hard and finished a half hour early with no breakage or mishaps of any kind. They made what looked like a hard job easy. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.
