I hired Affordable Guys Moving to load a 16' Pod and a 12' Uhaul trailer. They did such a great job of using every spare inch of space. They were careful with and considerate of my things and mindfully loaded them to prevent damage. The guys were super nice and very polite. They worked hard and finished on time. I would highly recommend this company for any move. Thanks SO MUCH for a great job!!! ????

They were efficient and made the move effortless. They were very accommodating. They needed to take apart several pieces of furniture. John was able to determine how to disassemble all the large furniture and made sure the glass was removed so that nothing was broken. The 2 other movers worked fast and were efficient.
When they arrived to my other house they unloaded the truck quickly and asked me where I needed everything moved to. It was late and at night. So we added a second day.
We needed to add another day which is Friday 24th.
I give them a five star +++++ rating and would recommend them in the future.

The team, led by John, included Antwone and Stephen. They were all very courteous and gracious. They did an outstanding job in packing the truck and caring for our valuables. My sister Jan and I, after having a fitful night because we didn't know how it was going to go, were so relieved. They moved quickly and carefully. Yes, they were late due to a truck mechanical concern but John called (very thoughtful) to explain and let us know when they would arrive. Of course we understood that. What was so impressive is that John called to keep us appraised of status. They kept within the time limit and all was GREAT! ?????

These men were completely rough in handling my possessions along with the furniture. They were not careful or concerned about doing a good job. Only in colecting their pay at the end of the day. Multiple times some of the movers were on personal phone calls talking instead of concentrating on their work. They ruined my hallway stair walls. They put nicks, dings and marks on the walls. They put multiple scratches, marks and dings on a $2000. Bedroom Set that was brand new. They broke the leg off of a beautiful handpainted basket that was a collectible of mine. They also broke an antique bedroom perfume mirror with beautiful handmaid roses on it that I had to place my perfumes onto. They broke 2 drawers on my desk. They ruined approximately 8 prices of furniture total with dings, scratches and marks. They ripped my couch about 6". They cracked a nick-nac piece of furniture. They tore a hole in the bottom of my large "chest" box. They were lazy and stopped doing their work in the middle of the move and when I asked them to unload the furniture out of the truck they said no. So then I looked out the window while I was vacuuming the rug and they were all sitting down on there cell phones instead of doing any work. They were very uncooperative. They got the date all mixed up. The original date I wanted was denied to me because they had it already scheduled, so I was emailed by their boss that I could not have that specific date. So, I scheduled another day and time. Again it was verified by their boss - the owner, that that was the new date. Then on my preffered date Hire A Helper calls me up and says where are you ? The movers are at your storage unit. So, I inconvenienced myself to cancel my plans and meet them unexpectedly on that date. Totally unacceptable. Very unprofessional. Very confusing and irresponsible. The whole scenario was a nightmare. If you want a half decent job done I would absolutely not recommend this company. To make matters worse no one ever apologized for the mix-up in the time. If you don't want your possessions thrown around, beaten up or destroyed then hire another moving company. I am in the process of opening up a "Damage Claim" against the movers.
