The team arrived on time and went right to work. They were friendly and polite, and finished the job quickly. The only reason I did not select 5 stars is because there were a few marks left on my walls from carrying furniture upstairs and these were not pointed out to me. Over all great work!

First thing first. I do not normally write reviews. This was my first time hiring moving labor help, and I was nervous. I reserved the team 2 months in advance and they called to confirm twice. They quoted me arrival time 11am to noon. (I thought it would be closer to noon) They were at my door at 11 on the dot. These gentleman were professional, fast paced, and respectful. They had loaded and unloaded a 16ft truck in 2 hours, plus drive time. This was a great experience and will be sure to recommend them to anyone I know. I will never move by myself again.
One recommendation the movers should have business cards to give to their customers. (I would have passed then out)

I recently hired S & L Moving Services to load household belongings into a container for a 2000 mile move. The 3 workers called ahead to tell me that they were on their way. They were not equipped with a hand truck or furniture dolly; instead they lifted and carried all items, which included a heavy chest of drawers, large couch and washer and dryer among other items. They were polite and they did work hard. However, their knowledge of the correct way to load a moving truck was seriously lacking. They put ALL of our packed boxes in the truck first and built a wall of boxes. That would be ok except that they loaded the boxes according to size instead of weight. This resulted in several boxes being crushed after the 2000 mile journey. They loaded furniture in the truck after the boxes were loaded. I provided them with over 20 mover's blankets which they did not use until we carried them out to the moving truck and put them in ourselves. Most furniture items were never wrapped and some just had the blanket loosely thrown on top. A large leather sectional that was not wrapped was stood on end and tied with a rope to the side of the truck, resulting in a long rope burn on the side of the leather. The door of the dryer has permanent scratches on the face because they tried to force it through the outside door sideways instead of front to back. Neither the washer nor the dryer were wrapped with furniture blankets. Other items were literally thrown in the truck on top of each other. This included outdoor furniture, bicycles, kids' toys and more items. Several bookcase were slid on their TOPS across the bed of the truck; they now have permanent scratches. A foot was broken off the brand new heavy dresser. They had absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE of the correct way to load a truck. I can't count the number of my belongings that were damaged. I hired movers, so that the truck would be loaded properly, and my items would survive the move. The moving truck company specifies that everything should be packed high and tight. However, these movers were confused and lost as to how to load properly.

Needed help loading our moving truck in one city and state and unloading 550 miles away in another city and state. On both ends the guys from HireAHelper were prompt, courteous, conscientious of our homes and things. Not a wall was dinged and not a single table or chair leg (I have lots of antiques) was handled roughly or damaged! Both my hubby and I will not only recommend them, but we'll be using them again as well!

Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving

Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
