The movers arrived on time and were done in less than two hours, but left SEVERAL items in our basement to move. They were helpful in moving the heavy furniture; however, the POD was not packed to its capacity because of the way things were loaded. We had a lot left of things left out because of this so we ended up loading up cars to pick up the many leftover boxes and items that couldn't be loaded.

The guys that came to pack the pods were exceptional. There were four gentlemen who went above and beyond their duties. They were polite and courteous as well as very hardworking and they got their jobs done wonderfully. We are very pleased with their service.

The 2 men called the morning of to see if they could come early. They were extremely hard working, courteous and respectful of our belongings. I'd definitely use them again.

They arrived on time. They do not bring any tools. I needed a 6×12 trailer packed tight for a cross country move. I felt very rushed and I almost wonder if that was so I couldn't watch them pack the trailer. They tried to use a box clearly marked "very fragile" to hold open an extremely heavy door. I kept reminding them that all space needed to be filled. I asked them to stop at 3/4 way full. I was suprised that I still had SO much left to put on the trailer(I had the same stuff on my move 18 months prior).The next day when I had to move a box they packed. I saw wide open space behind it. I started looking and noticed this in more than one area. I unpacked about 1/3 of what they did, but couldn't continue because of my bad back. I repacked and did my best.
When I started to drive on the expressway 2 days later, I couldn't get over 44 mph. I couldn't figure it out. Braking made the car pull left, and the sway was awful. My vehicle's emergency sway guard activated and started slowing down the engine and braking. After many days, Uhaul had movers come out to unpack and repack S&L's work. What they found was disturbing! There were heavy book boxes stacked on top of my flat screen tv, book boxes on my of my fragile boxes, heavy book boxes sitting on the edge of a mattress, and more open space. I took pictures, but it was easy to see why the sway was happening. Their incompetent packing was the reason for the instability. As far as I'm concerned, I would NEVER hire them again or reccomend them. I am still commuting cross country. I will then have to inspect my tv, and boxes to make sure everything is intact. Bottom line....they are very careless when it comes to belongings that are fragile. I just hope my things aren't in pieces and I am thankful their carelessness did not harm my family or someone else. It was a serious, lazy mistake on their part. Buyer Beware!

The 2 gentlemen who came to our rescue with our move were the most kind, considerate, caring and hard working individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet!
They were so fantastic that I actually hugged each one of them! Superb service with less than 24 hours notice from the time we hired them to the time they completed the job!
I would recommend anyone in the Chicagoland area who needs assistance with moving to use S&L services!

We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving

Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
