I was moving items from a storage unit downtown Chicago to a semi (packing for a move to ATL) The guys at S&L were great. They were on time, the coordination of their work was great on the part of LaShaun. They were very respectful with our belongings, and were very patient considering we moved in the middle of lunch and the storage unit had massive traffic and the other parties' elevator use caused delays. Overall I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing movers in the Chicago area.

They were 1.5 hours late, but were hard-working, courteous and effective once they arrived. They took care of the heavy lifting that I needed, and also did some little things that might not have been strictly in their job description.

We hired a Zippy Pod for our move which was considerably cheaper than hiring a moving company but we realized we needed help packing and unpacking the contents. I came across HireAHelper and found S&L Express Moving Services. The online booking process was very easy and I received an email and call confirming the details soon after. The rates were good and the helpers called the day of to confirm when they would arrive. They basically loaded and unloaded the whole pods themselves (there were 2 of them) and they did so in a very professional manner. No complaints at all. They helped what could be a very stressful situation that little bit easier which is well worth the money.

I was very pleased with the two movers from S&L Express Moving Services - Kevin and Damien (?) I believe were their names. Nice and courteous young men. This was not a move, but an unloading of furniture and boxes from a POD container into a new home. The S&L estimate was for a 3-hour minimum and the gentlemen unloaded and properly placed contents within the estimated timeframe. They were careful with my furniture, asked me where I wanted placement in each room, and were exceptionally polite. I was pleased with their service.

The two guys who came to move our stuff were great. They moved everything as quickly as possible. They were professional, knew the best way to move and pack furniture into a storage pod. I'd highly recommend them to move anyone's belongings.

We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
