I was kind of skeptical when I was thinking about using people I did not know to pack all my belonging in a truck going to from Illinois to Ohio. Was I wrong? Yes, I had the most pleasant experience with 2 of the most qualified, pleasant and energetic men. They showed up promptly and took a look at things and immediately got to work. They did an exceptional job packing so that all of my furniture would fit on the truck. I should have reserved one just a little larger so they were willing to spend some extra time to make everything fit. One of my friends at the destination commented on the fact that whoever packed the truck knew what they were doing. He said he was impressed with the amount of stuff that they fit into the vehicle. The workers also made sure that everything was packed properly so that there would be no damage. They were so friendly and two of the most hard working men I could have hoped for. I definitely would recommend S&L Moving Services to anyone who is planning to move a short or long distance. Thank you!

We hired two laborers to help us load a POD shipping container in lieu of getting a moving company with a truck. I think this worked out even better than hiring a moving company could have! The two guys were right on time, and worked very well moving everything out of our second story condo into our shipping container. They put a lot of effort into filling every available space in the container and packing it as efficiently as possible. They were certainly more than just muscle - it would have taken a week for us to load that thing, and we would have run out of room. Be sure to add some time if you are moving furniture up and down stairs!

S&L moving service was a life saver for me! It was easy to arrange and they were very accommodating even with a last minute change! I had a delivery that was scheduled to arrive at one time and found out that it would be 3 hours later. Even though it was to arrive after normal working hours they did the job anyway! Ali was very courteous and patient as he waited for the delivery truck! Would definitely use them again!

We had to move several pieces of furniture and boxes into a storage container and we feel they worked at a good pace and were friendly and on time. The only suggestions we would make is that they had more experience with wrapping antiques and/or other pieces of furniture. We ended up doing a lot of this work ourselves to have the piece of mind. They did also cause two small scratches in our hardwood floors which they did show some concern for, but I felt that it could have been followed up on better by the owner of the company. All in all for the cost of the moving labor help we got what we expected but were not overly impressed.

I scheduled my move for 3 hours, beginning between 9-10am. The movers arrived early, about 8:45am. I was actually still picking up my rental truck when they arrived, but they were very patient and did not complain. I had a tough move - down from a third floor walk up and back up to a new third floor walk up, and the move actually took 6 hours instead of 3. I should have booked for 5, but I just had no idea it would take so long. I wish the movers would have taken more care to wrap my furniture, given I rented a dozen furniture pads, but nothing was damaged in the move. I've hired through this company three times, and this was the best experience I've had so far.

Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving

Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
