I hired two movers to help load up my moving truck (and time permitting, help unload it into my storage locker just down the street).
I got a call from them saying they were running a little bit behind, and the courtesy of that call kicked off the day right so I wasn't sitting around wondering where they were.
Once the two guys arrived, they jumped right into action and loaded up the truck much faster than I figured. They went with me to make one stop to drop off some items and then had time to come to the storage locker and unload the entire truck and pack up the locker for me.
After all of that, we still finished a few minutes shy of the two hours for which I had booked their help. I definitely thought it was going to take longer than that (and they were willing to stay at an hourly rate beyond 2hrs if necessary.
Long review short: they were excellent. Courteous with the phone call in the morning, very nice and friendly the entire time they moved things, efficient in packing up the truck and storage locker, and got the whole thing done without any damage to any of my items or my apartment. I'll definitely be calling them again when I move back into town this Spring to help me get moved into my new place.
Oh, and they charged me about 1/3 of what another moving company I called wanted for the exact same job. Can't imagine there is a better team out there than the two guys who showed up to this job. Thanks so much for making the move painless, guys!

These guys were great, I would highly recommend using them. Called me the week before to confirm times and get more information, I told them my container was arriving at 10am, knowing that the Hire A Helper is a one hour window. He said they would be there at 10, and they were right on time.
They guys were careful, friendly and worked hard. I would recommend using them.

They did a good job. Struggled with the heavier furniture, but did a better job than I could have. Would use again.

Kevin and Malcome were excellent. They called me when they were in route and showed up right on time. They did a quick inventory as to what was in the POD and then they got right to work. They were very hard workers and took direction well. They were cautious not to scratch any furnature or mark up the walls. They even went the extra effort and were able to move a very large industrial sized freezer into our basement. I would certainly be willing to use them again. Good job S & L.

Well, this was not a very smooth move.
The first problem arose while attempting to change my move time due to when I could reserve my freight elevator. Somehow, even though I called both the owner and hireahelper, the message never got through about the time change, so the movers showed up 2 hours early and there was a huge ordeal, although they were able to help at approximately the right time...more on that later...
At the correct time, one of the men showed up, but it took the other guy 25 minutes to show up because he was supposedly circling the block to get back. So I sat around making small talk with the first guy for 25 minutes - great use of my time on a frantic moving day.
After that, the guys worked but not very efficiently. One guy (the first guy to show up) was definitely the leader and had more experience, and would have been great if paired with another guy who was equal or better in skill and motivation. The "leader" guy had to constantly keep the other guy moving and tell him how to do things.
If I were to do it again, I would take the "leader" guy with a different partner - my guess (or hope) is that the time change made them use someone who they normally wouldn't use, and that this was an anomaly.

Arrived within the scheduled time, worked in an efficient and consistent manner. Took care with the items both in wrapping the furniture and in loading the trailer. I was very pleased and would recommend them to others.

The movers were involved in a physical assault with the students being moved. Beyond the assault, several of the crew members made inappropriate comments to the customers. I am extremely disappointed in the way that our customers were subjected to this inappropriate communication.
The owner has not offered any consideration for the events that transpired with their crews.

I forgot to hire help for the day of my move. thanks to HireaHelper I just had to make one phone call and my issue was resolved right away. The representative walked me through the process, she thought of everything I needed and all I had to do was pay.

Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving

Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
