The two helpers did a wonderful job. They are very courteous and are very responsible in handling our properties and moving them from the Pod Storage to our basement. I would recommend S & L Moving Services in any moving needs.

My movers showed up 2 hours late for our move this past Saturday. I made clear that we had a window from 7:30-11:30 and requested movers to arrive at 8:00. They did not show up until 9:30 so we only were able to use them for 2 hours of our POD loading window. POD is thus charging me an overage fee which I think Hire A Helper should cover. The communication during this time was also poor as I received a call from one of the movers at 8:30 saying he was nearly at our house but didn't show up for another hour.
Once they were there, they worked hard which was much appreciated. But their tardiness became a big problem for the rest of our day as we then encountered bad weather and had to let them go early. If they would have showed up on time that would not have been an issue.

The movers were over an hour late (past their scheduled window of time). We waited in the rain. I blame the service for scheduling them at a far off location prior to our appointment, so if there are delays (as in our case) then the next customer pays the price. We paid a premium and scheduled early in the month to ensure our time was set. We expected them to coordinate better. As far as moving is concerned, they were fine, they were polite and hardworking. They moved our belongings and did not damage anything. Not sure if I would hire the company again when their are plenty of other movers to consider.

They were nice, but there is SO much space wasted in our truck, that we have to rent another truck. They needed help from us multiple times to know how to move things. They dented our door and needed to be motivated to move a little faster. They were not professional movers. Would not recommend.

We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
