Worked hard, but unit was poorly packed. We anticipate much damage. I am a 70 yr old woman, and I would hv done a better & safer loading. Two large pieces of wrapped and labeled glass were broken inside the house - did not offer restitution. Following morning, my daughter and I packed linens in lg garbage bags to help protect our things. AND, not realizing I should be checking on how furniture was loaded "by professionals", I tipped them $100,

Where do I begin, I requested 4 helper to load my 4 bedroom home with a 2nd level. My requested time was between 9 & 10 am. I had the women who over see the worker call me to let me know they had a move before which shouldn't take that long & they would be on to move me. I had to call the company to see when my 4 helpers would arrive it was after 12 when they arrive. One of the worker by the name of Rema is a very good work he took charger & helper the other guys get the job done. The worker were tired from their previous stop, but got the job done in 3 1/2 hours.

The guys were nice and professional. However, they had their own way of doings things and even though I said repeatedly to please load heavy items first and we would see about the boxes at the end, they just grabbed whatever they felt like and if they got down to a piece of furniture in a room that needing taking apart or wrapping they would go out sit down and not move anything in any other room until we could get to it. This of course resulted in us going over the allotted time and not given a heads up, as I understood they were supposed to do. I then mentioned this at the end and the lady made a joke about them not even knowing where they were due to a long day. I still tipped them appropriately but I am dissatisfied with the service.

I had scheduled a Touch Above for 4PM on a Friday and unfortunately their truck had broken down during the day. They were still willing to come out at 9PM that night to make sure the job was completely. Everything was done quickly and in a very professional manner. The owner and worker were very courteous and friendly. I knew that if their truck didn't break down, the job would have been completed ahead of schedule, but I understand things happen that are out of your control. Would 100% recommend.

These movers showed up on our scheduled moving date, but our truck had been delayed. They offered to reschedule to the following day (after they had completed their scheduled jobs), which was a huge relief to us. They unloaded a 20 ft truck in 1 hour. They were incredibly hard working and also very kind to us. It was the best part of our moving experience and we'd recommend them to anyone. Very grateful for their help!!

I gave myself a couple of weeks before writing this reviewed to make sure it would be objective. I would not recommend A Touch Above Moving to anyone and would specifically advise against using their service. My family and I were moving out of state and needed help loading a bedroom set that was expensive and heavy. I researched online and found that Hire a Helper was a good resource. I wanted to make sure that we were using an insured and reputable company and based on the reviews I felt that this company would be professional. I was wrong. (tl:dr significantly late, no uniforms, damage to property, not careful, apathetic...read on for details). This is the text that I sent to the owner, Lynt following completion of the job when I told her that I would be submitting a negative review and she asked why: "Arriving an hour and a half after the agreed upon hour window. Crew had minimal understanding of how to move furniture. Despite being informed that the furniture was expensive and that furniture pads were available the crew still had to be reminded to wrap the furniture and then did so incorrectly with corners and surfaces still exposed. I had to personally supervise them every step of the way as they seemed confused as to how to move dressers and almost dropped them into walls. The whole time you (Lynt) sat in the car. During loading the crew flipped a dresser onto its top and slid it into the back of the Uhaul causing damage to the surface. Multiple dings to furniture and house which was what I was trying to avoid by hiring "professionals". The crew worked hard but I might as well of hired a group of hard working landscapers to move my furniture for half the price.".... After I sent this text I did not receive a reply. Not an apology. Not an attempt to correct the situation. Nothing. Note that the text was not belligerent or aggressive. From the outset to completion this company failed to provided the service they advertised. I would have advised against using Hire a Helper if it wasn't for the exceptional service I received at our destination from a company called Smart Move that was contracted through this site. Now to see how well the claims process works....

The workers were great! Did an excellent job! Didn't take a break until the job was done. Came ready to work and didn't waste any time. I'll use them again in the future!

The movers were supposed to arrive between 11 am and noon. I called to confirm an arrival time at 11:30 am, and they told me that they would be there "past noon". At 12:30, they were still not at our house. I called Hire A Helper and they got in touch with the movers who were still 20 minutes away (making their arrival time nearly an hour late). To accommodate the movers' schedule, I paid for an extra day on the truck rental, and now I'm returning the truck nearly one day and 2 hours after scheduled. These movers didn't even bother to call and tell me that they were going to be late. I called them and I'm thankful I did because, otherwise, we would still be waiting. My husband and I ended up unloading a 26' truck while parenting a two and four year old. I would never ever hire this company for another job.

the guys did a wonderful job! they showed up at the beginning of their window and had the tools they needed with them- they were so helpful and knew exactly what items needed to go to the front of the truck and how to pack it and everything! nothing was too big for them and they worked quickly :) it was my first time using a moving service but after watching them i realized i could trust them with my fragile items too- and i appreciated their professionalism since im a disabled woman living alone.
