HORRIBLE. I wish I could give ZERO stars but it wont let me. You may read those other reviews and think oh okay only 1 bad review on this company, might be okay. DO NOT book this company. They let me know 15 minutes before showing up for the scheduled 3:30 move that they were going to be an hour late to load the truck. I ended up loading the truck myself with my handicap father because we only had the truck for so long. I ask hire a helper to let the movers know to just meet at the unloading zone because I needed to move up to the 6th floor of a walk up. The mover who I was in contact with said he will try to get guys to me and check if there are any in the city.... I booked them weeks in advance how are you NOW just trying to find someone to move me??? It is now 4:30 pm and I have had zero confirmation on where these movers are. I am in the truck on my way to the unloading apartment. I go to call to ask if they will meet me at the unloading locating by 4:45 considering they said they were an hour behind and THEY SEND ME STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL SIX TIMES. It's finally 5 pm and they text me ONCE saying they will try to get movers and then never to be heard from again. At this point its been almost 2 hours past the point of hiring them for help and I ended up moving everything myself with my handicapped father. DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS. UNPROFESSIONAL AND TERRIBLE. Did not even have the decency to apologize for the inconvenience and basically ruining the entire move for myself.

The movers were extremely careful, polite, and were strategic and patient in packing the truck, as I'd underestimated the quality of items and probably should have gotten a 15 ft. rather than a 10 ft. I am grateful for the extra efforts they took. Thank you so much.

I hate leaving even slightly negative reviews but 2 is the best I can give them. Scheduled for 8 and was asked at 7 if they could push back until 9 due to a guy calling out last minute (nice they texted ahead of time but still a delay). 1 guy showed up a few minutes after 9 and the other a little after 9:30. They guy who showed up late second guessed the work we already did, the guy that showed up first parked illegally (probably because he didn’t want to be later than he was... not my fault) and got a ticket which made me feel guilty and the whole thing awkward (plus had to take time to find a new spot). My wife and I were by far working the hardest/non stop (they complained about stairs and refused to take full trips and we started an hour before them). And they spent probably the last 30 minutes hanging out in the apartment with AC planning their next jobs while we were still working, and that’s not the only time I saw them hanging in the apartment on their phones. And honestly they were below average at best with handling the boxes/furniture. At payment time (11:00 even though I paid for 2 hours, and they both ended early and 1 guy showed up over 30 minutes late), they started asking a lot of questions of how much we were paying hireahelper, which seemed pretty unprofessional.
I try to be understanding. It was a Sunday and last day of the month (busy moving day). It was Pride day and the city was busy. Someone canceled and they scrambled and communicated. They got the job done which is what really matters. And they were nice and mostly professional. You get what you pay for and they are trying hard and they don’t deserve a 0 but they aren’t a 5 either as I’ve gotten better service at the same price from hireahelper (previous company was booked for my time due to busy moving day). I can see how probably more than average went wrong for me and they might typically be better, but I had a 2-star experience.

Moving is stressful but my guys made it very easy. They loaded everything so well, I am still amazed. I should have had a bigger truck but they managed to fit everything in perfectly. I would definitely use them on other jobs and I would recommend them. They worked very hard and got everything done in time.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please have blankets and a dolly and handtruck if elevators are involved. Have all things packed and ready to go. Flat screens TVs wrapped up or boxed up.

I've done local jobs and also out of state including New Jersey.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I enjoy meeting people and assisting them with their transportation of their belongings. From one place to another.
What training do you provide your crew members?
I provide them with training of properly loading a truck and unloading into a house or apartment.
