I needed to cool down prior to submitting my review.

PROS:

CONS:
Originally told me 100% sure items would fit on trailer, came back a few hours later changing that statement. We had to "hold out" items that we could live without.
Gave us a 30 minute notice that they were leaving for another job and asked what we wanted them to get on the truck! We were floored and had no idea that they had another job scheduled until they were 30 minutes into overtime. VERY stressful!
After movers left we realized that they did not put a large rug and our sectional cushion on the trailer! We had to bungee these items up front to the ramp, which cost us $600 as the moving company charges you if the ramp travels with the truck. We tipped each mover $40 and were so annoyed that we did that when we realized these large items had not made it on the trailer.

We had to scramble to give away/sell off several items at the last minute and had to enlist assistance from neighbors to get the rest of the items that would fit on the trailer.

I am assuming that it is not the movers fault that you scheduled another job right after ours. Regardless, that should have been relayed to us upfront so that we were well aware.

This was the most stressful and frustrating experience we have ever had with movers, and we have moved over 8 times.

Mover's response:
I apologize for your frustration. But I can guarantee I expressed multiple times, when you asked, that it MIGHT fit everything. I also told you about the ramp not fitting because we were running out of room. I advised to leave enough room because you will be charged. My crew and I ratchet strapped the ramp in the trailer. If you removed it, that is no fault to us because I know we put it on there. I also know for a fact that there was not any cushions or carpets left over. We taped up the rugs before packing them. You and your husband even did a walk through with my crew to see if there was anything else you wanted on the trailer and you said everything you wanted was on the trailer. The trailer was becoming so full, that I was standing on an unsafe step ladder to fit more stuff in the back. I realize moving is stressful. We did everything we could possibly do to fit everything. You had too much to fit on the trailer, which is why in the beginning I said it MIGHT fit when you asked. As far as time and another job, I did not give you 30 minutes notice, I stayed an extra hour and a half after telling you about another job and I am only obligated to stay an extra hour per my contract, I stayed way over that time. Which resulted in me being late to my next job. Per your description and time booked, I am obligated to book another job at my discretion. In reference again to the amount of stuff that was packed in an ABF trailer, previous customers were more than happy at my work. That is why I run a 5 star company and I've done over 6,000 plus jobs. Again, I apologize for your frustration, but my crew did our best and went beyond measures for you.

Hands down the best movers I've had. Both men were very personable, respectful and experienced. For the first time I actually saw my movers discussing how to move an item without hitting the walls or damaging it. They brought their own equipment and even disassembled a couch to ensure no damage was done when carrying it upstairs. They are efficient, treat your items gently, and I would 100% use them again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

Each customer can expect a stress free and easy move. Whether it’s a load, unload, rearranging of furniture, etc., it will be the BEST experience the customer will have yet. Each request the customer has will be met. Every want and need of the customer will be reached. The customer can also expect their belongings to be safely packed, unpacked, etc.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

A customer can expect a PROMPT arrival. The team arriving is already filled in on the details of the job request so the customer can feel at ease and stress free. The entire experience of moving day for the customer will exceed their expectations tremendously because of our professionalism and diligence.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

A customer should prepare for moving day to however they see fit. I strongly suggest moving boxes and wrapping, especially if you would like us to pack the house for you. I also suggest moving blankets to protect your valued belongings as it is packed into a truck, container, etc. Each crew has hand trucks and tools to further assist throughout the job.

What types of moves have you handled?

Affordable Moving has handled every type of move you could think of. We have handled warehouses, cross country moving, local moves, office buildings, libraries, even military moves(including on base).

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part about being a mover is being able to travel to different places, meeting new people, and to also challenge myself because every move is different.

What training do you provide your crew members?

I personally hands-on train every crew member. Every crew member goes through a full month of training to ensure they can do every job to the best of their ability. Each crew member is trained to reach my personal standards of a professional mover.
