Owner of company extremely rude, complained to me about the size of my truck and said he thought it was bigger so they’d make more money. Never received a confirmation call so I reached out to the number and name listed in the email and he complained that Hire a Helper doesn’t want them talking directly to the customer. Once I got to the payment portion after an honestly nightmarish packing day he harassed me about not using Hire a Helper again, telling me to not book through a third party over the phone and talking loudly over me when I tried to defend myself. Why accept the job if you think the pay isn’t enough? It was a very upsetting experience, I have never had a bad experience with HAH before and this one left me in tears. The movers made the excuse that “he’s from New York” and that’s just how he acts… Embarrassing. This experience made me move even more stressful and honestly I wish I had just loaded the truck myself.

The crew did an excellent job. They worked extremely hard and were very efficient getting all the items from our moving truck into the house. This included a lot of very heavy boxes, our bedroom and living room furniture, as well as a large elliptical machine. They were very friendly and respectful. We would highly recommend them for other jobs.

They came unprepared. The had no tools, or plastic to wrap anything up. They dropped my furniture and I have no idea if I’ll be able to put my furniture back together. One guy even said he felt sorry for whoever had to put the bed back together. My mattress got dirt on it from not being wrapped up. Then they tried to bill me for 6 hours when in reality it was 3 and a half of which they took two 15 min breaks. Terrible experience.
