Below is what I sent directly to the company and never received a response:
Hi, thanks so much for following up! I actually am incredibly dissatisfied with the service! I'll do numbered points so it's not a giant wall of text:
1. I want to start by saying, when they got there, I emphasized that I was mostly worried about the big stuff (furniture) because I could take care of the little stuff myself. (This will come into play later)
2. I called days before my service and explained that I needed the apartment loaded into a truck and then in turn needed that truck unloaded into a storage unit. The person I spoke to said 2 hours should be enough time but maybe another hour at the most. (I understand that this is an estimate but also important context).
3. I had to run an errand that took me about an hour. When I got back, 1/3 of the job had been done. The only thing that had been loaded into the truck was the boxes (which should've taken 20 minutes max) and my dressers, both of which are damaged. I honestly think my big dresser is broken but have not had the time or energy to figure out what's going on with it.
4. At 3:40 pm, which was 1 hour and 40 minutes into my service, the entirety of my living room was still left. Aka all of the big furniture I emphasized that I needed help with. I took a picture which is why I have the time stamp. Also, I'm not sure why they wouldn't load the furniture first.
5. At this point I go down stairs to see what's up, and they are just hanging out in the truck. When I got over there and asked what was going on, they said they were trying to "figure out how to put the stuff in there." Which probably should've been figured out much before then.
6. Once my 2 hours was up, they offered to continue the service and I could send the money directly to them. I accepted this offer because they still hadn't moved any of my big furniture and i literally could not have done it myself.
7. Unfortunately, I had to run another errand in this time. They proceeded to charge me for another 1 hr 45 minutes. When I got back to the truck, it was loaded so poorly. Also, they did not pack in my TVs (2), any of my artwork, framed stuff, etc., and a floor mirror that is 50+ pounds because they said it "wouldn't fit." I will send pictures of the truck. The contents of my studio apartment do fit into an 8x12 truck when the stuff isn't quite literally thrown into the back. When I opened the truck my bakers rack almost fell out. It seems like this extra 1 hr 45 minutes could've been done in 30 minutes considering the way it was loaded.
8. We never even made it to the pod! Fortunately I found a friend to help me unload the stuff into the pod. It took my friend and I 1 hr and 15 minutes to load everything from the truck to the pod. Also, the pod is 8x8 and fit everything with room to spare. I have to go back today and load the things they "couldn't fit" into an 8x12 truck.
9. When unloading the truck, there were huge gaps of space! Like my other stuff could've definitely fit but the couch was thrown in upside down and diagonally. The entirety of the space under the couch was empty.
10. A lot of my furniture/walls and floors at my apartment are scuffed/damaged. I'm pretty sure my big dresser is broken but instead of telling me that, they asked if they could use my cling wrap and wrap it up more.
I honestly feel taken advantage of. I made it clear that there were things I couldn't do myself and those things were not done until after the 2 hours were up. I feel like any time I wasn't explicitly supervising them, little to no work was being done. I am typically the last person to get someone in trouble with work, especially knowing the job market is tough, etc., but this move has costed me a lot of time and money and this situation made it way more stressful and costly than it has already been. I thought hiring movers was going to be the one time I could let someone else handle some part of this move and that could not be further from the truth.

Melvin and his partner were extremely cautious of banging walls, very polite, and efficient in both their work and communication. Very pleased.

The two movers who handled the unpacking were polite; however, the overall service fell short of what one would expect from a professional moving company. There appeared to be little coordination between the team members, and items were placed haphazardly, even when given specific directions. I had to request simple adjustments, such as turning bureaus away from walls for accessibility. Several items were scratched or bumped into walls, and my garage belongings were left in a disorganized heap, requiring nearly two days to sort through. I would not use this service again.
