The gentleman arrived on time and were very polite and professional. They both worked very hard and loaded the truck promptly. However, I did not watch how my belongings were packed into the truck. When I arrived to my destination, I then realized that my headboard had a very large, deep scratch on it. My buffet ($3500) also had a huge scratch across the top. My gel foam mattress topper was placed on the floor of the truck and my dining room table was on top of it. The topper was torn in several places and was super dirty, ultimately having to be replaced. I still have yet to find the screws to my headboard. Absolutely no excuse for damaged belongings. Super disappointed!

I have mixed reviews. First, I want to thank Browns for being available within 24 hrs of my call - my first unloaders fell through after my PODS delivery window ended up being later evening. Eli was super helpful on the phone so I had high hopes.

Unfortunately, our two movers (names escape me) arrived at the late end of our arrival window (9pm). My apartment complex is difficult to move into (again thanks to Browns for being flexible with a difficult unload). However, I have two major complaints. First, neither of my movers were willing to wear a mask or engage in any safe covid practices. I recognize moving during covid is difficult but I’ve seen many movers doing their best (wearing masks and changing gloves regularly). Our movers said it was too difficult to move with masks or gloves and they had no respect for personal space or social distancing (did not ask permission to sit down on my furniture). They never used hand sanitizer or washed their hands.

Second, what I scheduled as a 2 hr move took 3 hrs and 20 mins. I loaded this POD myself in 4 hrs. I felt that the second half, my movers slowed WAY down. In fact there were times they didn’t come up for 10 minutes with a load. They brought up the final load at 12:15 (arrival time 8:51) and they requested I pay them for 4 hrs. They were not even there for a full 3.5 to which i pointed this out and
His reply was “well, let’s just call it 4 to be fair.” I did not comply and this also effected the tip I provided.

So, positives: didn’t break anything, scheduled within 24 hrs

Cons: no covid precautions despite mandatory mask order in Nashville and my building, slower than average moving, and tried to make me pay for more time than I used.

I would like to address some of your concerns and if your not satisfied please do not hesitate to rech out to us. Here at Browns Moving we always set a 1 hour window when booking your move to accommodate traffic and previous moves scheduled. I want to apologize that our movers did not make it up until the last minutes leading to the close of that window. I would like to add that the CDC recommends wearing a face mask covering in a public setting where physical distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as a grocery store. With a move there is alot to consider and we do ask our movers to maintain a proper social distance. And I would also like to apologize that you feel your personal space was disrespected. We will be sure to look at and revise our procedures during this pandemic to assure our customers feel safe during these difficult times. As for gloves, movers typically don't use them as it is unsafe when moving our customers personal items. Plus, germs on gloves can be transferred to whatever is touched just as they can be with bare hands. Lastly, Browns Moving charges by the hour. Anything over the hour is charged as an additional hour. Our rates are discussed with our customers in advanced prior to booking a move. Absolutely incredible! I can not recommend these guys highly enough! They work so hard and so fast. The guys were so polite and mindful of walls and doorways. We thoroughly enjoyed working with them and will definitely hire them the next time I move!

Movers came early (I arrived early and let them know I was available). Both movers were very respectful and careful with all my belongings.

Unloading a PACKED 6x12 trailer to a 3rd floor apartment ONLY TOOK THEM 53 minutes. They took the time to ask where I would like items placed and offered to assemble items.

I highly recommend Browns for anyone coming to the area!
