Unfortunately, Hands On Deck Moving Service broke and scuffed several of my furniture pieces due to inexperienced and careless moving. They did not communicate with me prior to arriving an hour and a half late to the job, were unprofessional, took a total of 4 hours to move a small 1 BR apartment space, and even got food during the time that I paid for which caused me to be charged for more time, which they asked for extra money for under the table. Not through Hire A Helper. Even though reluctant, I allowed them to come the next day to finish the job of unloading because they promised to come on time and have me move in. This ended up being a lie. I contacted them at the time that they were supposed to come, and received a delayed response. When I finally received a response, I was told that they could not determine when they would arrive to finish the job because they were currently working on another job and were running behind on it, and had to eat first before getting to me once again. So, this would make Day 2 of this level of tardiness and unprofessionalism. At this point, I gracefully thanked them for their time and took my chances and I'm glad that I did because the next moving company did a wonderful job. The next moving company did not know the traumatic experience that I had been through with Hands on Deck moving, but had genuine concerns with how my U-Haul truck was packed because they they were surprised many of my items didn't break due to being packed carelessly. I was shocked, but not surprised by their observation. It confirmed my suspicions that Hands On Deck is not only an unprofessional company, but also a careless and inconsiderate company that does not care about the care of their clients items. Out of the many times that I have hired moving companies, this was the first and only traumatic experience I had. I hope no one else experiences this.

This was an unexpectedly good experience. It is becoming more and more difficult to find people who show up on time, work hard, and do a really good job. We are completely satisfied, and are genuinely amazed at how quickly the work was completed.

They showed up ready to work, stayed within the desired time limit for the move. They were careful not to cause damage to items or the home. Very respectful. Got everything unloaded and helped me put in the desired spot. They asked questions when they didn’t know. I would use them again for a move.

On time and worked hard but dragged a lot of furniture and left scuff marks. The packing was frenetic and not well thought out. Update: owner contacted me seeking to reach solution but ended up doing nothing but wasting my time telling me it was my fault. Recommend you avoid.
