This company did an okay job. They were on time and brought one small hand truck. One worker worked harder than the other. The other didn't seem to know what to do, would stand around waiting for the other to give him instructions, rather than just going back in and bringing out more boxes, etc. To their credit, we did work them hard, but that was why we hired them. They left deep gouges in the hard wood floor where they dragged, rather than lifted a piece of furniture. They dropped our large screen TV on one corner. Since we put our things in storage, I don't know yet if it is damaged. Although they were friendly and nice, I would not use them again.

They did a good job loading, took there time thought they should've moved a little faster. Went over the 2hrs. 2 1/2 total this is were we had a problem. After helper called his boss I was told I would be charged additional hr but if I paid them cash they would only charge me 1/2 the $85 fee. Don't fall for it! Hire a helper charged $25 for the extra 1/2hr when I called to complete the transaction. So it makes you assume they were trying to get a little extra cash and beat hire a helper as well! You make the call. If it looks like a duck... well...probably a duck. Don't fall for it!

Per man per hour is a pretty good organization. They came ready to work and got the job done. I do think Hire a Helper could be more open with it's rules. Planning for how many hours a move will take is a best guess estimate. Hire a Helper should state what happens up front if you over or under estimate the time.
