Well I filled out the info as requested asking for wrapping and tools I had to wrap my own stuff I also put in my request that it was 2 flights of steps the movers arrived and said they didn’t say anything about stairs..... and the grand finale and 4 hours later and $500.00 poorer they left my belongings unassembled and my living room furniture on the Uhaul truck and left because the lead mover said his wife was waiting for him and she had been waiting for 30 min. There was no apology there was no let me find you a replacement they up and left me and my kids without our things sitting on the floor and still took my payment I am very unhappy extremely dissatisfied I have never encountered anything like this and I wish hirehelper was willing to do more to compensate for this inconvenience because I was told if the job ran over you would be charged by the hour they worked the first 3 hours they stopped and ate lunch and came back for 1 last hour. So was it professional to take a lunch and then come back after your lunch and say you have to leave after an hour and the job had not yet been complete. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER!!!!!

I needed help unloading some furniture and was able to find Derrick and his crew today last minute and they showed up with a few hours of the search. Awesome service, fast moving, very careful and easy to work with. I definitely recommend Xtra Mile Moving for your moving needs. I will be using them again.

They were very friendly. However, I had the following issues:
1. They arrived and hour and a half late
2. They did not have a moving dolly, which slowed them down significantly
3. They only used the provided blankets when I repeatedly suggested it
4. One worker continually complained about the work. Such as “my wrist hurts. I can’t wait to go home and shower. You have a lot of stuff” etc.
5. One of the workers asked me if I could start bringing stuff down to the front door. The reason I hired movers is to avoid having to do it myself as I have some physical disabilities/limitations.
6. There ended up being significant damage to my bedroom furniture. Only one of the workers is physically strong enough to be doing this.
7. They took several breaks for phone calls and/or cigarettes breaks
8. To load a one bedroom set, couch, boxes, and a few small shelves, they took 2.5 hours longer than scheduled. This is EXCESSIVE.
9. Overall, they did not make a good team and were not careful with items, and were not prepared. One worker was strong and helpful. The other was not and slowed things down significantly and was not strong enough to safely move my bedroom furniture.
10. They said they didn’t think the remaining items would fit, so I had to go look in the truck and show them how to put the remaining items so that it would fit )with room left over).

They brought the supplies needed to get the move done. They were very precise and thorough. Everything was taken care of. My family thought this would be an all day move... with the help of Xtra Mile Moving we were done in less than two hours. I highly recommend their service. I would select them again to assist me!!

With my many years of experience, I have done, moves in every area of the business. Both residential and commercial moving.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is number 1 loading the truck, its like putting a puzzle together and invoves thinking.
What training do you provide your crew members?
I teach them how to communicate while maneuvering the furniture throughout the house onto the truck. Its important to prevent injuries to both the movers and the walls in the house
