I struggle with this one because the people were all friendly and helpful -- from setting up a last minute move on the phone to the movers themselves. But I just can't understand how it took FIVE hours to move a one bedroom apartment only four miles -- when you are scheduled for a two hour window and charged $99 for each additional hour. Everything was packed ahead of time. There was no prep work for the movers to do (other than wrapping the furniture). Very mixed feelings about my experience -- definitely was the most expensive move I've ever had.

Kelley did a great job working with me on a days notice as we realized we are getting older and cannot do what we once did especially when we saw the 90 degree angle stair case and 6 steps up to front door.

First, the boys were already tired from some other job when they reached and it showed up on their entire performance including one of them not feeling well or so.
Second, after some time they started saying if packing is involved then they generally need 3 persons and not 2. I have couple of times asked both HireAHelper and Dillards day before if they will do the packing and they agreed. It is not my problem if the contract has to be updated.
Third, when the boys entered they said it is a considerably easy job but later all the issues mentioned above in the Second paragraph.
Fourth, There were a couple of rest stops which almost accounted for an hour but that was not taken in to account during billing. This is also the reason that they were tired from a previous job. One of the examples was there was 20+ minutes of a stop at a gas station for a Koffee but that should have been accounted for.
Fifth, The Organization of items at the storage was not taken seriously. I asked before placing the items if we need a bigger room but they said no. But still, the things were not Organized to the fullest. Again I want the covers on my furniture to be retained but when they moved it from truck to storage all were torn and now it is lying there partially covered.
finally, the boys started being very lethargic at the end of the hours. I felt like they just wanted to run for another hour.
Honestly, I do similar moves due to my travel plans and this job was not as expected. I have completed the worst case from 3-4 hours previously. But now we were able to only move around 60-65% of the things and I need to call other helpers to move the remaining. I am very upset with the service.

Guys we’re great. Wrapped all my furniture very neatly, and made sure it was safe from any damage. They were on time and called when they were on they’re way and worked hard even having to go up and down 3 flights of stairs. Thanks!
