*BUYERS BEWARE* Above & Beyond Movers (Balitmore Area) is a fraudulent, shady moving company! Raymond is the main con artist. I booked 2 helpers for 3 hours for unloading furniture into my new house. Raymond never returned phone calls until the morning of the service and stated his coworkers were on the way and he was in route as well. To my surprise, 3 random males showed up at my door step (no masks, background checks, etc) with no knowledge of the moving company stating they were recruited to help me unload the moving truck. The 3 males had never met each other so I expressed not getting started until Raymond arrived to verify identification. We all wait outside for 30 minutes in which Raymond doesn’t answer my call/texts but has responded to the guys stating he was stopping by the bank etc. After asking additional questions, the 3 males told me only knew Raymond from seeing an ad on Craigslist asking for people to help move items and that he promised them cash afterwards. I saw all the Craigslist threads of Raymond asking if they had hand tools and could show up at my address. In addition, Raymond never showed up.
Raymond recruits random people through ads Craigslist and promises them $20/hr while trying to collect the client’s money paid on this platform on the back end. After 30 minutes of waiting, he texted the men saying the job was cancelled but texted me stating the helpers had arrived for unloading. Disgusting. Then Raymond tried to tell the platform that the job was done when I filed a formal compliant.
Thankfully HireAHelper was responsive and gave me a full refund. Very glad I noticed the red flags and of course Raymond won’t answer the phone to follow up. I would never recommend Above & Beyond Movers (Balitmore Area) or Raymond to anyone due to NOT a real, reputable company and attempts to scam people.

The two guys were pleasant, hard working and funny as well, lol. Like a couple of Bees, they unloaded the truck into my place and then helped me load everything going to storage back onto the truck! I will book them again in the future and I suggest that you do the same!
