I have mixed feelings about this experience.
What I liked:
When the two guys showed up, they looked at what I had, which wasn't much, and busted it out in less than 30 minutes. They even made my insane king bed look like nothing!
What I didn't like:
My appointment was at five. When I called at 5:15p, there was no answer. When I called the number that called me to confirm my appointment a few days earlier, the person was confused and said he had to call his boss. When he called back he told me that someone called in and no one notified me or found a replacement, so he said he'd come now from Ypsilanti. They finally arrived at 6:30. Meanwhile, I called HireAHelper to see what my repercussions could be and they said nothing. Thanks. Finally, the only other thing that pissed me off was the guy wanted me to sign the damage liability release before they even started moving anything.
Bottom Line: The guy's worked hard and efficiently, but the company needs to get its crap together.

Had a pretty bad experience with this company. Needed a load/unload for a 1 bedroom apartment, scheduled for arrival between 2 and 3pm.
I was ready at 2pm with an empty Uhaul to load from a full freight trailer. I sat in that uhaul for FOUR AND A HALF HOURS before the crew showed up. I called a couple times with no response, finally at around 3:15 got a hold of the crew who said they had no idea I was scheduled for that day and that something got mixed up on the management side. They were already on a different job and said that they would come afterward at 6:30. Thankfully they did ultimately come, and did a good job loading the uhaul and unloading into my apartment. The guys were apologetic.
Never received a call from the company's management after the scheduling mistake was uncovered. I think at the VERY least a call to apologize would be warranted, if not an offer for a discount.
Overall - pretty good service from the actual workers, but the company management seems totally unprofessional and disorganized. Recommend to take your money elsewhere.

In under a half hour Damus came through and pulled through, making the move happen last minute for me! They were on time, super polite and extremely helpful! I don’t want to move anytime soon again, but if I ever do I will definitely make the same phone call to Damus! Definitely recommending to anyone I know that would need movers. Thanks again!

The workers were on time and ready to work.
They were respectful of my property. Worked hard.
I expected they would have gloves. Did not see any.
I provided an appliance dolly and it appeared the crew did not understand the use of the rollers/belts on the truck and as such they had lots more to carry. One person can walk a refrigerator down a flight of stairs using the dolly and a rocking motion on the truck.
I would hire them again.
