3/30/18- I chose this move because of the number of positive reviews. Unfortunately this is not what I experienced. On the positive, the 3 man team arrived prior to schedule on-time. Chief complaints: 1. 1 of the 3 crew members proved to be invaluable, lazy and inexperienced 2. Several damaged items: glass cabinet, three visible cracks, TV armour laceration in front door, dining room legs; gouges, dirt and scratches 3) texted number listed for owner expressing unhappiness with this move, he never addressed to this day but made sure to call twice on two separate occasions re payment for the 7.5 hour move, providing more "fumes" to an already stressful time as if I was going to "stiff him for payment". I was unaware of HireAHelper's new process as I used them plenty of times before 4. There was an period during the unload in which the freight elevator was inoperable, instead of keeping things moving I guess everyone thought this was time to take a break on my time/dime until I went down and started taking things off the truck like ok there are plenty of items that can be unloaded that do not need a freight elevator (there were two other working elevators). Twi I'd the three team members got it and things were rolling from that point but man...single female I can't watch my stuff and three people at all times and shouldn't have had to assist the way I did. Labor only customers should have adequate supplies for proper wrapping and padding of items.service customers as well should be packed up good and ready for their service as all supplies will be included on the trucks.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done moves of all types loading and unloading of trucks, trailers and pods to driving rental trucks out of town and also office and warehouse relocation.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Listening to each customer's needs and helping them individually to try to make their moving experience better and less stressful for them.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Moving helpers and drivers are required to train through Movers Academy to become specialist at packing , loading and driving.
