Scheduled a move with I & O Moving several weeks in advance. Contracted for 4 movers for 6 hours, to begin at 8 am. Only two movers arrived at 10:30 am! Of the two, it was immediately clear that only one had previous moving experience. When I contacted the owner, he stated that he had call-outs, and his other crew was on another job. With a 6000 sq ft house, there was no way these two individuals would be able to pack my home into PODS before loosing the advantage of the daylight needed to pack properly. At the end of the fifth hour, a third mover arrived who spent more time on his phone texting than performing the necessary work at hand. By 5:00 pm it was too dark to properly pack the PODS (thus the reason for an 8 am start)! The crew remained until 7:00 packing what they could into the PODS but, ran out of space before completing the job. The next morning, my wife and I had to contract with more movers to get the house emptied, rent a truck (PODS were full), and rent a storage unit because PODS doesn’t deliver on Sunday! I don’t feel Hire-a-Helper took the necessary steps to rectify the huge inconvenience my wife and I endured as I was still charged for the time the two-and-a-half workers who were on site, with no consideration for what I & O Moving cost my wife and I for not arriving on time and without a full professional crew. Will Strongly consider other moving services as we seek to have our PODS unloaded at our new residence.

Actually, they did a great job in moving all the boxes and furniture, and in loading the items to the POD. The loaders arrived within the timeline offered and all of them worked hard and were courteous to our concerns. Gordon was masterful in fitting all the various sized boxes at the front, and middle of the POD. Only criticism is loading the last items at the back of the POD. Would have preferred to see them secured a little better. Concerned with how those few items will handle the transportation to the drop area and what might happen when we try to open the door to unload. Otherwise, very satisfied and impressed with I & O moving. I would recommend them.

Amazing job. The job before ours went long so the guys were a little late, but they communicated about it early and often and were still able to get the job done in the time we needed. Everyone was kind and respectful and they packed all of our stuff into our container beautifully. 10/10

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
complete professionalism from beginning to end spectacular customer service, polite, and courteous movers that are always on time.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
nothing but the best all movers have years of experience and aim to please. we start all moves with a phone call prior to your move, giving you an eta and the names of the movers that have been assigned to your job. you will then be advised when they arrive, and your time will not start until they start moving things. you will also be contacted periodically throughout the job to make sure our level of satisfaction expectations are being met.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
make sure you know what items will be moved on moving date so movers can effectively plan the loading of your truck. other than that relax and let the professionals make your move smooth.
What types of moves have you handled?
you name it we have done it small moves, large moves, state to state, local, office, junk runs, we do it all you can count on us for all your moving needs
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The best part about moving aside from the amazing relationships we build with our customers is when we are at the end of the load and the customer comes out to see how much we packed, and how neatly all of there belongings fit into the truck.

All crew members are trained on proper lifting, and loading techniques, and proper customer service interaction, also packing methods, team lifting, and furniture wrapping
