Very action oriented in getting started and loading the trailer. One of the men was friendly and asked how I wanted things arranged, the other did not speak to me at all.
The loading was well done in terms of organizing the pod tightly packed, however there were a few issues with consideration to more delicate furniture items that cannot sustain heavy weight pushing on them. I pointed these out, even though they seemed clear to me.
Overall went very well. The one thing they did not do at all was tie anything down and secure it in place. I asked them to do it, gave them tie down straps, rope, and bungie cords. They used one loosely fixed tie down strap in front and that’s it. They left at 1 hour and 20 minutes for a 2 hour job. I spent another 30 trying to tie things down front to back of the pod which was hard because it was full. They also neglected to cover or protect my wood bed frame. I am hopeful it is ok during transport.
I also asked them not to place my wooden or fabric covered furniture on the salt covered payment as it would corrode the furniture. They did not follow this request at all. They were too hurried. I’m not sure why because they came early to my scheduled time frame and then left before time was up… there should have been no rush. This was sloppy.
Also, with Covid, although I am not an overly mask concerned citizen…. The workers really should have masks on when entering peoples small homes, handling all their items, and being in close proximity. Not a huge deal, but it would be considerate for the current health crisis. I know they are very annoying!
I think they did a good job, I would have tipped better if they had helped secure the items in the pod as they went, as I had provided at the beginning all the tools to do it and a clear idea of how to pack it (I’ve moved many times!).
I think some reinforcement of doing this step and also how to safely move furniture on the dolly without damaging would be good. They wanted to get it done, which is great, but not if it skips steps or causes dings and damage to items….

Joe, Eric, Ronan, and Ron were great. They were on time and worked diligently to complete the job. I was skeptical that it could be done in the allotted timeframe and even requested they come a day earlier. However, Joe assured me that he was confident that they would be able to complete the job. And they did! and there was no overtime needed. They were extremely careful with our personal items, even when i was willing to push things.
Frankly, in 18 years with my wife we have moved 14 times and this was the most pleasant and hassle free move we have ever had. It was also the most complicated. We had to first move furniture out of a large house, unload a 26' fully loaded, packaged truck, put the previous items in a 20' storage container, and place the truck items throughout the home with 3 flights of stairs. To top if off their fees were great if not the best.
