I used Smooth Movers on 7/26, and my review is rather long, but in summary, the work was actually 'Good', but I'm giving them a rating of 'Okay' because of their late arrival.
First, the Good:
I needed a move done on short notice, and Smooth Movers were able to accommodate my move on the same day that I scheduled it. Shortly after I completed my booking, I received a call from the company (Mr. Nathan) just calling to confirm the appointment and asking if I had any questions. When I booked the appointment, I was told by HireAHelper that they would arrive between 5pm and 6pm, but Mr. Nathan informed me that the crew was on another job, and it would be closer to 6-6:30pm. Mr. Nathan kept me informed throughout the evening letting me know that due to unforeseen circumstances, the movers were delayed on another job, and would be arriving later than planned. I appreciate that he was very communicative and was apologetic, however, this did create an inconvenience for me for several reasons (described below). When the movers finally showed up, the young men (Asa and Tae) were very pleasant and they worked quickly to get the the job done. I wouldn't say that they were "skilled" movers, however, they were not moving any furniture, so they were sufficient for my needs, and I felt that they wanted to do a good job.
The Bad:
The movers did not arrive until 9:00pm! (well, 8:57 to be exact). Although Mr. Nathan kept me informed of the delay, and I understand that 'things happen', this was still a major inconvenience for several reasons. I had rented a truck for 4 hours, but since they were 3 hours late, I could not return the truck on time. Also, I had left my personal vehicle at the U-Haul parking lot, so I was pretty much stuck sitting in a nearly empty/packed apartment for 4 hours with no way to go anywhere else. I just had to wait. I was hoping to get the move completed and return the truck before dark, but since they arrived late, the entire move was done in the dark, and it was well after midnight by the time I returned the truck and got back home. My biggest issue: I had booked a 4 hour time window in advance, and that is what I was charged for, however, once the movers arrived, the actual job only took around 2 hours, so I paid for more time than they actually worked.
Overall, I would say that Smooth Movers did a good job once they arrived, and again, I appreciate that Mr. Nathan was very proactive in communicating with me, and keeping me informed of the situation. My suggestion would be for him to have more crews available for backup when a situation like this occurs, so as not to inconvenience other paying customers. My suggestion for the company would be to charge the fee based on the actual hours worked, not based on the hours that were pre-booked.

We were very fortunate to be able to hire Smooth Movers at the last minute and they were great. They showed up on time and did an amazing amount of work in the two hours they were here. They were courteous they were respectful and they were very professional loaders. We were shocked that they got everything in the truck as well as they did. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

Good group of guys, I must say. Overall they worked hard under the extreme heat in GA. Only complaint is they arrived several
Hours late, due to over booking jobs, which the guys seemed to brag about throughout my move.

They sent two guys and one of them was injured so I had to do the lifting for him. Then I had to tell them how to fit everything in the truck, they wanted to leave after half of the time I had paid for them to be there

The guys that moved my belongings did a great job but unfortunately the communication of time of arrival was poor. We called 24hrs before to confirm and everything was agreed upon. I drove from Ohio to GA ... there was more than 7hrs to alert me that the movers would not be on time. Twice the moving time was given and they showed up at 4:30p and I completely missed the time to return the truck before they closed at 6p. way on the other side of town. Please call your clients ASAP if delay arise or call first thing in the morning to confirm your jobs and to confirm your workers.
