Zero manners, and an incomplete job. The team showed up on time, and I was happy a third employee showed even after only booking for two. Unfortunately the crew immediately gave off a bad vibe by bad mouthing their boss as soon as I met them. Repeated cursing their boss, and complaining about the job throughout. I asked if they knew my apartment was on the third floor, and they said yes, but that they weren't being paid appropriately. And that their boss didn't want to pay them for their travel time home. After waiting for their second smoke break to be over, I spoke with one of the guys. Stated that whatever the beef was with their boss, I am still paying by the hour. The guy denied they were on a second smoke break, even though I stood there watching one of the guys smoke a cigarette. I was baffled at the ease of lying. After that conversation, they kicked it up into gear for about 10 minutes, but continued to curse while unloading, walking up the stairs, and in my house! Making statements like "we ain't getting paid enough for this @$#@", "he better pay me for the travel time", "we're going to be here all F-ing night", "this is some bullS#@!". When no one was bringing in furniture again, I went downstairs to see what was going on. When I heard one of the guys talking to their boss and complaining about the job, AND ME! I had enough at this point, and told them to leave. One of the guys had the nerve to make a final comment "good luck finding someone to move your @#$@". I'm a huge follower of the ratings, and this company had high marks, but this crew was ridiculous. Hire a Helper discounted me $95 off the total bill, but only half a 13 footer Uhaul was brought upstairs. It was a bedroom move. Surprised the manager did nothing to help resolve the issue.
