Jay and Gary (the movers) were amazing, however, we had an issue with Maurice (owner) who was trying to charge us for extra time. It was only an additional 2 hours but he was trying to charge us for 2.5. He wanted us to zelle the remaining payment and that was not something we were comfortable doing when Hire A Helper already sent a link to call and adjust time when needed. I knew our time went over and was going to pay through Hire A Helper and yet Maurice still had issues with that and was trying to make me pay more. Book elsewhere.

We had a great experience with Hawkboyz!
Not only did they work really hard to complete our move on time, they gave us some valuable guidance on some things that had been damaged in our storage(not by them)
Also, the young man who was in charge of making sure everything fit was incredible, if we had tried ourselves, I’m positive that everything wouldn’t have fit.

I would not use this company again to move. They broke multiple of my items due to not being careful. They were unfriendly and seemed to be annoyed that they were there moving my things. They took their time moving my things and took multiple smoke breaks. They went two hours over the original quoted time. I wouldn’t have minded this, except they ended up charging me an extra $300 over the original quoted price of about $500 for three hours of moving. I’m more upset that they didn’t tell me whenever they saw my things that it would take longer than the original quoted time, or at least have updated me or warned me when we got to the end of the original booked time slot. Instead, they didn’t say anything at all, and once they were done moving my things, one of the movers talked on the phone with his boss loud enough for me to hear about the extra time and added cost. They still never said anything to me directly nor let me know exactly how much extra I would be paying, or why it took two hours longer than expected. They had me sign off on the timeframe that it actually took and left. To sum it up, they were not careful with my items and were not accurate on the timeframe they quoted, and didn’t warn me nor update me throughout the day.
