Unfortunately I was unable to be there during the move to Harrisburg due to a health issue but I received glowing phone calls during the time they were there. The crew was punctual, professional and provided us with exactly we needed to complete our move from New York City. The workers arrived 45 minutes late, they arrived via (Uber) bringing no tools to assemble anything, no hand trucks or dolly's to expedite the unloading process which in turn forced my self & my wife ( we are both in our 70’s) to assist in the unloading process.
They were careless in the handling of furniture as we pointed out damage. (We took photos of damage as we could) we are still processing as we examine more closely .
When they were unloading boxes they paid no attention to the (THIS SIDE UP / WITH ARROWS POINTING UP AND SAID “HANDLE WITH CARE) labels on all sides of the boxes.
They denied responsibility for any damages we pointed out blaming the original loading crew.
They attempted to bring a stationary bicycle into the house but couldn’t figure out how to get it in, so they left it into the garage.
These young men came unprepared for the job they were hired for.& appeared to be two young guys hired off the street.
With our unloading assistance we were able to meet the two hour minimum without going over time which would have cost us additional money.
I spoke to their boss on cell phone & he said we should file a complaint and claim for damages with the company we contracted with for the unloading of the POD.
As a side note, the contractor we hired to work on our house called us to ask how things went with the unloading process, we advised him of the above & he immediately stopped what he was doing and brought his assistant to our home.
They brought tools & assembled both beds, the 65” television to the stand, the legs to the sofa they moved heavy boxes out of the way for us & they brought the stationary bicycle into the house without any problems. They also place felt pads under all furniture that we had purchased to protect the “NEW” flooring that had just been installed.
They took whatever time they needed to do this at no charge to us.
I am a U.S.A.F. Veteran, I served with Honor & what my contractor did was above & beyond the call of duty & is an example of how to treat your customer.
I used the same contract service that I used for the loading of the POD in December of 2024 and their referral of the company to unload the POD February 19, 2025.
I have contacted that company, and have begun the damage claim process.
Your question that began this survey ( would I recommend this company to anyone) the answer is obvious ( NO )
When the labor worker’s left they left via Uber.
We were totally dissatisfied with these laborers & the company they work for!
