Charlie and Thomas did a great job helping me move the contents of one large storage unit into another one on the property. They were very cooperative and eager to complete the move plus careful with the items. They worked hard and we were able to complete the job in the two hours I had planned on. I only wish I had used them sooner!

Holy crap these guys were great! Chris and Jamal filled my 8x8x16 PODS in two hours, and “Jenga’d” everything perfectly…way better than I did in the past. Lifted heavy stuff like it was easy. I couldn’t be happier. They deserve a raise. They treated my furniture like it belonged their parents.

Showed up late without proper equipment to load uhual. No dolly’s or straps to move furniture. Luckily we had our own dolly’s that helped with some of the furniture. The biggest problem was the piano. They charged a $200 flat rate for moving the upright piano into the truck and were only able to do so because of me helping lift it and a dolly from my apartment complex. A different company unloaded the piano with ease in less than 5 minutes because they had the proper equipment. We were also told by different movers that unloaded our truck that they did a bad job of where they put things in. For some reason they put dumbbells loose on top of the piano into the truck that fell off while driving and damaged things.
The Piano the movers said the moved all by themselves and only needed help getting the 4 wheel out when it was on the truck so they can set it down. The dollies tend to roll once the weight is picked off it when on the truck vs flat ground in the home. That was about the only difference I can see between how we moved it vs the unloading crew. We usually recommend 3 movers for this weight and size class pianos.

My move was a disaster. I requested 2 movers for 3 hours, to load a truck for a cross-country move. The guy showed up with his teenage son, who had no idea what he was doing. They had NO CLUE how to load the truck for a long-distance move. They didn't use the blankets I provided, they refused to use the ratchet straps I provided, to secure the load in sections. Every time I told them to do something, they told me "don't worry, we got this" and ignored me. After 3 hours, the mover's son had to leave to go to his job at McDonalds, at which point the mover started calling around to his friends for help. Needless to say, the effects on my furniture and belongings were horrible. When the truck was unloaded, 1500 miles away, my wooden furniture was scratched and gouged, with one piece getting a hole gouged all the way through the wood. All my upholstered furniture and mattresses were filthy. Because the load shifted in transit, stacks of boxes fell and were crushed. The incompetence of my mover was staggering. I will never EVER use this service again.
I was mostly on the road and Fred when he tried calling couldn’t get through at the moment but his text finally came in. We will make sure this never occurs again as this is completely unacceptable and not the standard we have worked extremely hard to attain

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
It helps to be properly packed up. Boxes taped up and loose items boxed or bagged ready to go. Also blankets for wrapping wood and other delicate items should be made available. Pathway from the home, through the door way to the truck should be kept clear as possible so as not to interfere with the smooth, efficient and safe movement of items from the home to the truck or container

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We love making customers happy and getting very positive feedback. One of my favorite parts is when a customer seems so worried about how they will get it all done but are all smiles and exuberant when we start clearing out things quickly and efficiently. The change from worried to pure joy and happiness can be quite fulfilling.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We make sure all our movers are able to properly lift all items safely. New crew members are made to shadow our tenured & highly experienced movers to show them how we get our moves done. This also includes paying attention to details as well as courteous customer interactions. We start them with simple, quick moves and gradually scale them up to more intricate, bigger moves as they show proficiency and ability to grasp the essentials.
