I acquired these movers to help empty my first floor. When I booked, and when they called back to confirm everything. The person said they will have all the pads and straps to deal with the job. When they showed up. They told me I could RENT the pads and straps. Which I felt a little bait ans switched, but I said "ok you've got a $50.00 budget do what you need. If you need more just ask me." I was in the space with them the entire time. They never asked for more to add more.pads.

When I called today and reported damage. They said that piece was a piece they put in the container unprotected, and b/c I wouldn't let them have any more pads, that it was my fault and they weren't going to do anything about it.

To make it worse their Operations Manager Jameson was part of the first move, the one that made this decision, and the one who is delivering this message to me. I thought given his position in the company I could trust he would do an adequate job of protecting my stuff.

The guys who did the work were great. Jessica in sales has been great. It is disappointing to have the back end of the company fall apart and deliver unprofessional service. If you are fine with scratches then proceed, otherwise beware...

I expect there maybe some minor damage, but this is right on the top, and there response to their actions is why I am providing the review. I hope to help some future families avoid this.

Here's the thing. They didn't and you didnt tell me the pads were extra. On the call I had with Jessica, I was told "there will be plenty of pads" to deal with rain and protect the furniture". When the team arrive they said, you have to rent pads. I was like oh...ok how much? Then I said, You have a $50.00 budget to pad what you need. If you need more pads, just let me know(and I was in ear shot the entire time). So All these statements are lies. So they scratch my furniture, then they lie to about me, and about you.

I don't know if Joseph Michael Woods is aware of these problems, or if he's the one putting out the lies on Google. It could be Jameson still? I don't know.
It was a generally ok experience until I became the enemy to them.

Between you and me, all I wanted was for them to fess up to the error and then tell me how they were going to improve. They can't afford to fix their errors on those rates, I knew I was eating the costs one way or the other. Instead they chose to throw me under the bus. I hate to see a company you ****s on their customers.

You have a chance to show you are not the same as your assigned vendor, feel free to reach out.

Hi Andy,

I completely understand your frustrations. It is always our number one goal to make every customer happy and make sure every move goes smoothly. However, one of the most important factors to making a move go smoothly is having the proper supplies.

You booked our company through a third party service to help with loading your Pod container. Unfortunately, because we were not booked directly, we did not have the authority to give out free materials; nor is the standard. Our company, along with the third party, made it clear before the job that blankets and supplies were to be purchased at an extra cost or provided by the customer. While we always provide blankets and plastic wrap on local and standard services at no cost, this job was also unique due to the items needing to be stored in a container for several weeks. The $50 material budget was set by the third party and we had no role in it. We brought it to your attention two separate times that there were not enough blankets and offered to sell you more. You chose not to, which ultimately put your items at a much greater risk for damages. We were not told we could go over that material limit until much later. At this point in the move, the pieces that had already been loaded were not protected, and were at a high risk for damage.

You also stated that you began unloading the pod prior to the crew getting there. This is an issue, as we have no knowledge of what items were moved around/unloaded prior to us arriving or any damage that could have occurred. Our operations team tried to communicate this to you calmly, and was met with hostility and aggression. We also explained that we would be in touch with the third party to try to figure out a solution. This situation could have been easily avoided if the crew had been provided with or allowed to use adequate supplies. We will be talking with the third party about potentially making blankets mandatory and included as an extra fee in your original rates. Thank you for your business.

These guys were wonderful, they were on time came in and did a survey and went to work! They seem to be very carful in wrapping items and had the POD pack to were it looked like nothing could move! If I were in Richmond area I would request Tony and his helper every time!

I am at a loss for words to express how much I appreciated Maliq’s & Ruben’s help during my move last week, but I will give it a shot. They helped unload my moving truck into a storage unit after a hellish day of things going sideways. Seriously, everything that could go wrong - did go wrong. That was until everything started to go right when On The Fly Moving Guys LLC arrived.
Maliq and Ruben were: Kind professionals who worked wicked fast, provided peace of mind, and reduced my blood pressure the moment they arrived. It’s like they rolled up and said, “hey, moving anxiety! you can see yourself out!”

Not to mention, they were just happy which was infectious. Funny too.

The unload was wrapped up in one hour. I repeat - ONE hour! Unreal in comparison to how long it took another moving company to load the truck.

I’d 100% work with them again and will totally recommend On The Fly Moving Guys to friends/family. Thank you!!
