I chose this company because our usual movers through hire a helper were booked. They also had good reviews (which i now question if they are even real reviews). I'll start with the good. They were on time and communicated when they had arrived to our home. I give them 2 stars for numerous reasons. I have moved numerous times with the same furniture into other 3 level homes and have NEVER had any movers go over 4 hours to complete the job. These movers took 6 hours and that was with us rushing them because they were moving so slowly!!! I did have to move the truck several times because the truck was blocking our neighbors in. But I communicated this to them at the beginning when they started AND even suggested a different place for the truck to be parked but they would have to walk a short distance. They declined to do that. During the move, they were literally carrying down 1 box at a time for most of the boxes. We asked them numerous times for updates on the time and they assured me it would get done on time but that was a lie. It is my belief that they were purposefully moving slow to get more hours, which is unfortunate and unprofessional. They also did not get everything onto our 26 foot truck which made us have to leave a number of our items behind or throw them away. They also damaged a number of our items (cracked glass on coffee table, scratched leather furniture, damaged dresser, and office keyboard tray). I also indicated in the notes that shrink wrap would be needed. They brought a small small roll of shrink wrap which was not nearly enough for our move. It seemed that they were amateur movers and had never moved any items before because our truck was most certainly NOT packed efficiently. They also had just thrown items on top and had no respect for our personal belongings. Screws were missing. Furthermore, the owner tried to gaslight me that the reason it was taking them so long was because I booked 3 movers instead of 4. As I previously mentioned, I've moved numerous times with same furniture, same flights of stairs, and EVERY moving company that I've used was able to not only get it done in 4 hours but also with 3 men. So I didn't appreciate the owner attempting to insult my intelligence. Also, one of the crew members was on his cell phone every single time I walked past him and even yelled at my chihuahua dog to "shut up" because he was barking on the other side of a closed door. My dog was not in their way at all and was only barking due to unfamiliar voices and stress. Also, they struggled significantly with one of our heavy dressers. They took out the drawers WITHOUT our consent which damaged several of the tracks on the dresser drawers. While I understand that it was a heavy item, we have moved the exact SAME dresser as 2 women up a flight of stairs. So I don't understand why 3 men seemed to have such difficulty and complained to us about our items which was highly unprofessional. I have pictures of our damaged items as well. It was packed so poorly that the movers that unloaded us at the next location commented on how badly and inefficiently our items were packed. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone that values their money, time and personal belongings. And we will most certainly NEVER use this company again.
