The young men who unloaded our PODS for us were excellent. We could not have had better service.
I do have a bone to pick with "Hire A Helper". You forced me to estimate the time needed to unload our three PODS in advance and also pay in advance. I felt that I needed to over estimate the time needed to make sure that we had the time (8 hours with 4 helpers = $1278) to finish our project. As a result I over estimated the the time by a factor of 2. We were finished unloading in 4 hours. Hire A Helper, however, would not refund me for the difference. I will not use Hire A Helper again and I will never recommend Hire A Helper.

I called all star movers ahead of time and told them my concern of the rain moving in they bumped my u loading time up to beat the rain and not only did they show up early they showed up with a extra person free of charge to help and make sure it was unloaded befor the rain came. They did a excellent job and handle stuff with care highly recommend fantastic job

I couldn't remember the start time, so called, they knew and even came early since I was ready to unload.
they worked non-stop and put things where I asked them to and were careful of walls and large furnishings.

They were timely, efficient, and had what they needed to do the job. My only complaint was a deep scratch in the hardwood floor. I didn’t notice until my landlord did a walkthrough the next day. Still, I’d use them again—just maybe remind them to lift, not drag, furniture.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A call/text with a expected time of arrival, and a final check to see if you need any addtional items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The best preparation is done by having all items boxed and ready to go prior to arrival. It's also helpful to have a clear idea of what items are going and what items are not going on the upcoming move, in the case that all items are not going. Its also helpful to make it known which items are "must go" items, and which items are "if we have room left" items.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled a wide range of moves including local, long distance, office, and just about every type of move that comes to mind. We have been to 48 states during our time doing long distance moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We have 2 favorite parts when it comes to moving. The 1st favorite is the challenge of loading items, and the game of tetris that comes with it. The 2nd favorite part is the physical workout that comes with moving, it keeps us in shape.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers on proper lifting techniques, proper loading techniques, and the many ways to protect furniture as well as protecting the floors, walls, and doorways of the house.
