The short version: they don't read emails and respond on a hunch instead. And that's going to cost me hundreds of dollars to fix.
I hired all star movers through hire a helper, but then emailed them directly to add more time on. They confirmed it via email to come pack up stuff for me the day before they were originally scheduled. I re-confirmed earlier in the week and he said we were set. The first day came and they didn't show. I see now that I should have called them, but we didn't have a time set so I kept thinking they would show up any time. When they got there on the second day, he told me he thought my email was only confirming the second day. Because they didn't come to pack up the rest of my stuff, I didn't know that my 2 moving pods wouldn't hold everything. I had to give away almost all of my kitchen stuff, a lot of furniture, and am having a lot of irreplaceable stuff shipped to me by a friend. The cost of replacing what I had to give away plus the shipping costs of what my friend will mail me will probably be as much as a third pod would have cost. If I had known on that first day how things would go, I could have had another pod delivered. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.
Besides that, even if we had came and packed your items that day before, you still would not have had enough room for everything you had to move. PODs requires more than 24 hours notice for container delivery, so the issue of not having enough containers would have occurred regardless if we came and packed or not. The issue was not the movers, it was the scheduling for the move. We loaded the containers in a timely manner, with no damage to your items.

We have used them for 2 moves. They have done an excellent job both times. They had everything they needed to do the job. They took good care of our stuff. They had us moved in 2 1/2 hours on a very hot day. We WILL use them again.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A call/text with a expected time of arrival, and a final check to see if you need any addtional items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The best preparation is done by having all items boxed and ready to go prior to arrival. It's also helpful to have a clear idea of what items are going and what items are not going on the upcoming move, in the case that all items are not going. Its also helpful to make it known which items are "must go" items, and which items are "if we have room left" items.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled a wide range of moves including local, long distance, office, and just about every type of move that comes to mind. We have been to 48 states during our time doing long distance moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We have 2 favorite parts when it comes to moving. The 1st favorite is the challenge of loading items, and the game of tetris that comes with it. The 2nd favorite part is the physical workout that comes with moving, it keeps us in shape.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers on proper lifting techniques, proper loading techniques, and the many ways to protect furniture as well as protecting the floors, walls, and doorways of the house.
