Highly recommend!! We’ve moved several times and this was our best experience by far. The guys showed up on time and immediately went to work. They had a plan, worked quickly, and packed the PODS like pros. They were also very professional and respectful. Thank you for making the move less stressful!!!

All-Star Movers were great to work with! We were a bit hesitant as we have hired movers in the past who damaged items but were 100% happy with the service we received! They contacted us an hour ahead of time with an ETA and arrived at that time. They worked hard the entire time and brought a dolly to help with the heavier items. I hate moving but we will use them every time we move in the future!

Third time using this company for both unloading PODS on a residential move to temporary relocation of office space for renovations. Top notch every time, professional, respectful, careful with belonging. In this case I booked the wrong date and they were able to accommodate my request literally last minute and applied their standard diligence in getting the job done right. The two men were on time for the appointment to load my belongings on the POD. However, there were many problems with their work. Please see the following:
1. They were not prepared for the job - they claimed to know how to load the POD but they simply started loading boxes without regard to trying to utilize the space of the POD efficiently. When I asked them about it, they responded that they were doing it their way. They would not listen or do what I asked them to do.
2. They worked without regard to how they loaded the POD, and when they got to the 3 hour time (I was supposed to have been able to have a 4th hour if needed), they told me they were done.
3. But they had not loaded all my belongings in the POD. I had to ask them to rearrange and put several items on the POD that they were just going to leave. And they completely ignored my counter-top microwave from the kitchen.
4. When they got done, they could not even close the door of the POD because of the incorrect way they had loaded it. There was all kinds of wasted space yet I could not get them to re-do any of it.
5. After they left I had to ask other people to help me to try to re-arrange some of the things as the back of the POD and help me to get my microwave in.
I was extremely disappointed in the job done and would not recommend Hire-A-Helper to anyone. As a matter of fact it is my intent to recommend to the POD organization that they no offer Hire-A-Helper to any future POD customers.
I will be contacting Hire-A-Helper and All-Star Movers if any of my belongings are damaged due to the sloppy, incorrect manner is which the POD was loaded.

TJ and Ranzie loaded a Pack Rat container for us. They were excellent: on time, respectful, worked continuously, and were very careful with our boxes and furniture. They were worth every penny! I highly recommend them and would hire them again myself.

A call to discuss the details of your upcoming move, as well as some helpful tips to help you prepare prior to our arrival.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A call/text with a expected time of arrival, and a final check to see if you need any addtional items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The best preparation is done by having all items boxed and ready to go prior to arrival. It's also helpful to have a clear idea of what items are going and what items are not going on the upcoming move, in the case that all items are not going. Its also helpful to make it known which items are "must go" items, and which items are "if we have room left" items.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled a wide range of moves including local, long distance, office, and just about every type of move that comes to mind. We have been to 48 states during our time doing long distance moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We have 2 favorite parts when it comes to moving. The 1st favorite is the challenge of loading items, and the game of tetris that comes with it. The 2nd favorite part is the physical workout that comes with moving, it keeps us in shape.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers on proper lifting techniques, proper loading techniques, and the many ways to protect furniture as well as protecting the floors, walls, and doorways of the house.
