After an already insane move, being on the road for over a week, scheduling the movers for the wrong day, I called Hire A Helper and they were quick to help, find and schedule us movers for that day. Based on our truck, they said we would need 3 guys. I agreed and he told us they would be there between 12-1.
The owner of the business called shortly after to go over a few things and let us know they would be on the way. When 3 guys showed up, they decided it would only take 2 of them for 2 hours. One of the guys left and the others said the owner had some personal stuff going on that day and they didn't need him.
Within an hour of them being here, one of the two guys started taking breaks.... Very often. It got to the point where only one of the guys was actually doing any work and we felt so bad my husband had to help. That other guy was on top of it though but couldn't unload a 26ft by himself. He was super respectful, moved quickly, asked where we wanted things. The other guy that was taking breaks was putting items wherever, blocking it so you couldn't get into any rooms to add more boxes and taking breaks. The situation was really frustrating and what was supposed to be 2 hours turned into 3 and when the guys called to say they needed help, they were basically told no and they would stay as long as needed. They were so tired as the end the started dropping things off the truck and breaking them. We had a locker that we can't use now because they dropped it.
I'm not sure if it was just an off day or what but we were a little surprised at how it seems like one guy does the work of three and when asked for help, he's told no. We'd never used this service before and weren't sure what to expect but this wasn't it.

The owner stayed in touch prior to move to ensure everything was on schedule. The young men who arrived for the job were on time and started the immediately. They were curteous and considerate of our belongings. We would highly recommend this company for your next move.

Deangelo called promptly when the job for 3 men/3hours was booked and made me feel like it would be great, saying that he would like to bring 4 men for the job described but keep the charge as booked. On the morning of the move, two young men showed up and said no one else was coming. After I melted down, Deangelo called and said he would get out of bed and come personally. We ended up with four men who did not understand the use of space and just crammed things in the containers. The most humorous has to be us finding our 200lb safe sitting on top of a wardrobe box that said FRAGILE. My husband repacked everything so it really ended up being four laborers, two of whom spent alot of time on their phones. Night and day from our first experience with Hire a Helper.

I would highly recommend Deangelo Devon Crawford Jr's crew Jamie and Mike. They were on time and got right to work. I am on the second floor so they had to bring all items up stairs. They worked hard until they completed the job and they were both very respectful. I would use them again!!!
