The movers were very helpful and worked really hard ONCE they actually turned up! They were 3 hours (2-3 hours depending on how you define it) late, and they were subcontractors. I don’t know what happened with the original bunch and frankly don’t care, but it would help to have some reliable stuff. I am moving out of State tomorrow and your movers not turning up when arranged, were not on my stress list. But subcontractors did an excellent job.

Do not use this company. My experience with the owner Ron was unacceptable. I confirmed the time with him the night before and we were all set for 9am. The day of the service the owner called me 15 mins before arrival and said he can’t get a hold of his guys and he may not have someone for me until maybe noon. I expressed to him the that I needed a time frame so I could adjust my afternoon plans and to keep me posted. He did not. I had to keep reaching back to him. The movers didn’t arrive until after 1pm. What should have taken only 2-3 hrs took almost 5hrs. The movers were very nice but unfortunately, they took a number of smoke breaks and one of them was doing more “directing” than actual unloading. That person kept expressing they couldn’t do the stairs. Not until one of my totes was dropped and fell down the stairs, did that person start helping again with carrying the totes to my apartment. They did more in that last 45 mins than the entire time frame. Had they hustled and worked together the entire time, the job would have been done sooner. When they finally finished, the one person called the owner to let them know and I told Ron that before I pay the invoice I was calling him right back to discuss things. My call went to voice mail, I sent a couple of text messages and the owner never called me back. Hire A Helper called me on Sunday and I expressed my disappointment in the lack of communication, commitment to the appointment time, the length of time it took and everything else. After which I sent the owner another text message to Ron and he still never responded. Again the movers were very nice and they felt horrible for dropping the one tote. But the owner Ron does NOT know how to communicate with his customers or how to make an attempt to make the situation right. He never once apologized for the movers not showing up or being 4 hrs late to do the job. This was one of the worst experience I had. Most companies would at least try to make the situation right, but this guy obviously doesn’t care and it shows. Hire A Helper should look into this company and remove them for their list of providers.

They were ADD. They kept getting distracted and side tracked. They argued with each other about how to do things and did not work like a team. They were much slower than the last groups that I hired. And they kept avoiding carrying things upstairs until we practically had to force them to do it.

Super patient guys, they were more than happy to cater to us (we were definitely a pain in the butt with having to drive back and forth to retrieve moving trucks, then unpack and re-pack trailers, etc.) I would absolutely hire them again.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
You will receive a phone call or text message the day before the move. The team leader will contact you the day of the move to let you know the expected arrival time.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
We ask for customer to have all boxes packed and ready. If tools are needed to disassemble furniture, please let us know ahead of time.
