They did a great job. They were a little late, but communicated very well with us. Finished the job very timely and more then willing to do anything that was asked.

After loading 3 Packrat containers, I wasn't about to unload all of them. Mitchell Moving sent two gentlemen, they unloaded the heavy stuff, put them where we requested, and were just very nice people. Very happy to have hired them so that i didn't have to unload all of this myself.

After reading other reviews I had expected a very different experience. They were an hour late, Lance did communicate they were going to be late, their window was from 10-11 and they did not arrive until noon. 3 guys to unload 18 ft of a UPack trailer, took 4 hours... (in Fla the movers had 2 ppl and they took 4.5 hours to load it... but they were good workers!) 2 of the guys were not very hard working, 1 guy was good. All of them were nice, that was not an issue. They didn't bring a dolly. I gave them a 4 wheeled cart to help but they were hand carrying boxes?! Not prepared! A cabinet was broken, it fell in the trailer, they had opened the doors to the cabinet and then with the slope the trailer was on gravity pulled it forward onto the doors breaking the top of the unit. Some boxes fell down while they were working on them, they were heirlooms and not replaceable, so the quipped "we have insurance" didn't make me very happy. We didn't even bother unpacking those boxes, I didn't want to see any broken dishes, at that point it was too late, the damage was done. Then to top off this experience, one of the guys kept using the bathroom, frequently. Then about 20 min before they left he was in there again. After they left and we were done working, went into the bathroom (for the first time since they left), and it was a disgusting mess. Filth on the inside and outside of the toilet bowl, a cigarette lighter and cigarette butt on the floor, the rugs were askew, there was a pepsi bottle in the sink. (One of my pepsi's that was not asked to have) the cap was on the floor. Change was on the floor, and there was dirty water splattered all over the mirror and above it onto the wall. What grown adult would come into someones house and treat it like that? I emailed Mitchell Moving and included pics, no response, not even an acknowledgement of the experience. So no I would not recommend this moving company.

We had a great experience with Mitchell Moving. They arrived early and were very responsive to what we needed to have done. They worked from the time they arrived until the job was completed. We were very happy and would recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

Guys are all that,,,,,,,,,,, we never had any moving company. Or any company that treated our stuff like we would treat it ourselves .these guys are all that plus some.they unloaded a 26 ft box trunk package to the top in half a day made me wear out just watching them work ......and no dolly just shoulder straps .I would recommend them to any one thank Lance and crew you all are the bomb Keith. If I could add a plus to my 5 star rating, I would. I hired movers in my hometown to load the truck and it was a disaster. When arriving in Sevierville, I was bracing myself for another high stress experience but the movers showed up on time, with a professional appearance, moving straps and unloaded the truck, to include piano and high value antiques, so carefully and so stress free to me, I wanted to adopt the guys into my family. They worked hard for the entire time with a short break for water. These guys are worth every penny.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
You can expect to immediately be contacted. We will go in-depth on the details on your move. We will then call you the day before the move to verify our arrival window and go over any last minute changes. Last we will call 30 minutes before our arrival your home the day of the move. We have a true commitment to communication and making sure we are up to date and prepared to dominate.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
When we arrive at your home we like to take a tour of the house and go into detail of exactly what you would like done. We then mix our consistent system of moving with your wants and tips to make your moving day peaceful. We prioritize furniture safety over everything else. Although we like to move fast we balance our attention towards making sure there is no scratches on your furniture, walls or floors.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
That varies on each job. Some need lots of help while others want us out as quick as possible. This is a question you should discuss with who ever you chose to move you when going over the details.
What types of moves have you handled?
We've been at it a while and have done on the jobs above but i'll list a few of my favorites. In 2017, we got to install the first weight room at Clayton- Bradley Academy in Knoxville. We also moved the canyon into the Civil War Museum in Pigeon, Forge. My personal favorite is definitely any of the 3 long distance moves we've done to the Florida coast.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I enjoy getting to meet new people and staying in shape for a living.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Yes, we have a 4 day training course for new guys . They learn the basics. We also have a 3 month minimum before employees are allowed to load a box truck or lead jobs.
