They came an hour early and we were not completely ready. Then they stood and talked and were an hour over the two hours allotted. Cost me $41 more than I expected. It took an hour longer to unload than it did to load on the other end, which has never happened to us before. It was a first floor house so no steps involved. They were nice and respectful but I did not have an extra $41 to spare on a fixed income. I would not use them again.

Lots of knowledge and experience moving. This gentleman is a professional in his trade. Works hard and smartly, brought a lot of his own materials without request. Was late the day of move, but made up for it by staying past 6pm on A Saturday night. bravo!

John, the owner - operator was very good at unloading my items correctly and being careful not bang up my furniture or the house walls/floors in the process. His helper wasn't as good, but decent. I've used other loading/unloading services and he's on the high end of the scale, partly i think, because he was a Van Lines mover/driver in the past. So they were close to being on time. He was prepared with dollies and power tools. They worked at a decent pace. But I prefer slow and careful, over fast and cheaper. Yes, I will be using him again to unload a Pod in the next few weeks. Movers took their time to avoid any damage to items and property but did a great job. The two were true professionals and we will definitely recommend this service and company!

John and Cameron were fantastic. They were a bit late due to traffic but called ahead to notify me. They were prepared, didn't stop working until we finished, and took great care of our things. I would happily use them again.

The company hired to move me was A Plus Moving with. He called me that morning to say he would arriving around 11:30 a.m., and he did. Two other men were with him. The first 2 hours went fine. However, then I heard loud voices and asked if everything was alright. I was told it was. Then one of his helpers came to tell me that he could not continue with the move because the boss (John) was treating him poorly and threatened to leave him stranded (when he lived in the Plant City area). I went down to see if I could calm John down, but he said he wasn't going to work with the man and was not going to finish the job! He then used vulgar language when speaking to the helper, and then left the job. The other man on the job just stood there quietly. The 2 drivers offered to help finish the job if they could get a ride home afterwards. I agreed and they both continued moving things on their own. They did a good job. My son-in-law gave them both a ride home later. They told me that John owed both of them money since they started with him earlier that morning, but knew he wouldn't pay them. He has done it to other people he's hired. I paid them for their work and they were very appreciative. I first hired one company, but then another one was chosen because the calendar wasn't updated, so I got A Plus Moving. I would not recommend them, and if someone asks about using Hire-A-Helper, I would make sure they knew what happened with my move.
